    Why should the US refund the importers.  The costs were passed on to the consumers and have been paid. If the tariff money doesnt go to US takes payers it is effectively transferring 150bn to the top of the money pyramid.  Almost seems like this could have been part of the plan all along.  Seriously those tariffs have been paid by the consumer anything but a refund to the taxpayers is a redistribution of wealth from the bottom up.

    Because they were assessed illegally. If your income tax rate was declared illegal by the supreme court wouldn't you want your money back? Plus interest? I would. And not all tariffs were passed on to consumers, many companies just added them to the cost of goods sold and reduced profit margins. And yes I agree that this was part of a plan as only a percentage will end up being refunded. Time value of money for the government's benefit.

    I wonder how MAGA the team is. I know Bill Guerin is, and at least the Tkachuk brothers. I listened to some of the Trump call to the team, and realize it has to be a thrill to get a call from the president after winning gold. I’m definitely not a “shut up and dribble” sort of person, and I’ve been looking forward to this win my whole life, just not sure how to feel about the whole thing, especially with Patel involved. Dude’s a big Capitals fan too, which is gross.

    I would venture to guess no current NHL player voted for Clinton, Biden, or Harris. They either voted for Trump or didn't vote (or are not American).  If there's a white house visit, I'd be stunned if anyone skips.

    That was an amazing hockey game and (kinda to my own surprise) I was pulling for the US and glad they won. Now? Now, I wished they'd lost. Watching them party with the pedo-protection class while ICE is terrorizing people back home is just too "Inglorious Basterds" for me.
