Followed by today's, cook-cutter plot, announcer laden dialogue to explain F1 racing to a 5 year old, piece of crap........  How in the hell is this Oscar nomination worthy?

Because Brad Pitt is hot, lol.

I was shocked years ago when I found out what goes into being considered for an award. As an actor, I'd fucking hate that. It's like being a salesman/politician.

    Groundhog Day (1993)

Wasn't it funny how AMC played it over and over today! Haha
I'm not sure how long AMC has been doing this, but it's been the past few years as far as I know. Brilliant.
1st time I was aware of the marathon.

    Big fan of the movie
I think like 5 years or so.

Yeah, there is definitely an awards season/campaigning thing going on. Hence Shakespeare in Love over Saving Private Ryan.

The Shakespeare in Love people apparently spent more on getting that award than they did on the movie, or so I've been told.

🤣 Agreed. It’s nice when it feels like someone won the award because the academy really loved the performance or film.

waited one more day to watch it, just to catch the one & only screening in 3D.
The movie is a hit, and it would easily work in black&white on a small retro screen with blurry picture.
! Best seen with nothing more than the original poster in mind (which even supports a twist), but every person‘s opinion could easily contain one or x major spoiler/s.
Best of 2026 (personal top 15 favourites watched in theaters) for sure.

Top 15 was way too wide. Send Help would have been my top favourite film in theaters 2025!
It was outstanding to watch - probably Top 5. Expecting “Bride!” and “No other Choice” can play in the same league. No idea what else is in the pipeline and could come close 2026. “No other Choice” is based on a novel. I read it in 2023, but the knowledge about “the crazy+unique plan” should not spoil too much in detail, plus the scenario is moved from the US (novel) to Korea (film).
“No other Choice” shows up in theaters tomorrow!!!

It wasn't bad but it wasn't great.  Decent 1st movie by a Youtuber.  The running time was definitely 20-25 minutes too long.  Apparently, he has a following because it made 7X it's budget in the first weekend.

Hmm. Think i might go for The Housemaid instead tonight (last showing) and then catch Send Help this weekend.

Looking forward to obviously SCREAM 7, but also the Elvis concert film-thing by Baz Luhrman coming. Might catch an IMAX showing of it. And I hate IMAX.
