I have 5 of the 2018 Topps Now Ohtani cards which were graded by PSA.

The PSA 10 seems to go for $200 on Ebay.

What do you people think of the future value of the cards?  Is there anything Ohtani can do to get to an even higher level of prestige?
I'll be honest and didn't think his cards would go any higher but they have.

I sold all of my ohtanis 2 months too early.  My BC RC sold for 1400.  Its a 3400 card now.  Everything I had doubled and tripled in price.

In all my years collecting I have never seen a surge like this.

There is a huge bull market right now that isn't sustainable. Eventually people are going to stop making money and it will crash.

As long as hes healthy and plays good and the card market is still bullish his stuff will go up.

When will any of the above stop happening is anybodys guess though.

    Thanks for your thoughts!
NP congrats on the Ohtani 10!
It was a bit weird…..the 5 cards were stored together and submitted to PSA together.  I got back a 10, three 9’s and an 8.&
It’s not weird.  PSA has become so unpredictable with their grading its dumb.  I sent in 4 of those Topps now Ohtani and got all 10’s.  I sold the other 6 to a friend and he got the rest 10’s.

Topps now cards have really good QC.  You getting 8’s is such a scam.

You can ready peoples horror stories with it.

Went to a smaller show in Rockaway yesterday.  Saw a card I wanted.  Talked w the dealer and told them I will be in touch.

That card and another high profile one was stolen from their table by a woman.  They have her on tape.

God I hope they catch her!

Been doing Ebay, and some of the bigger card dealers/sellers/buyers.
    Picked up a
    1960 Aaron
    1960 Mays
Still shopping for Clemente. Already have Banks.

Then I will move on to 69 and 70. I always liked both those sets. Im just going to stick to those four players for a while, but I don't see myself investing in every years card. There are sets I just don't like.

Does anyone here collect the 40s-50s-60s Topps baseball? If so, do you have any pics on how you display them? Can I see?

Obviously it’s not the years you mentioned but it’s a great way to display things. It’s a case that you can hang on the wall. They make smaller and bigger sizes so depending on how many cards you have.

    Thanks
I ordered a couple of those cases last week, still waiting on delivery.

    AWESOME card!
So after the Super Bowl. Im sure you are familiar with GMorris. Anyway he has a ton of cards whose auctions are ending at 1-2 am, Eastern. We both know how Morris lists different cards, sets, years, on a daily basis. Anyway, all these gorgeous 1961 raw cards are up there, and I take a look.

Absolutely nobody was bidding against me at 2am
I was picking up cards for basically $10-$50 each. Cards that if graded, would certainly grade a 4, im guessing. These were all the 2nd tier HOF'ers of that generation. Matthews, Frank and Brooks, Kaline, Brock. I was having a blast and didn't spend much.

I do not know who Gmorris actually?  I would love to pick up some nice vintage like that for cheap.

How Matthews is considered a 2nd tier HOFer is beyond me.

    Again, great stuff.

That surprises me. You obviously have vast knowledge in the collectibles. You can find his website, or find his collectibles on ebay. Guess he sells millions of cards. Today he has a boatload of raw 62 topps ending in about 7 hours.

By 2nd tier I mean they aren't getting the Aaron, Mays, Mantle kinda money. You can get those others at a great price.
