What are the bigger cards you might purchase?

At some point I'm gonna get a 1933 Goudy Ruth and Gehrig. Haha

    But not today.

My top 3 on my list are a 33 Goudey Ruth, 49 Bowman Robinson and 51 Bowman Mantle in the PSA 2-3 range. OR, I keep thinking about putting everything towards a low grade 52 Topps Mantle

I’ve been focused on hall of fame rookies for a while, but have slowed in hopes of saving for these grail cards.

Low grade 52 Mantles go for over 25k now.

Nice list.  The Ruth should be the most attainable considering there are 3 from that set.

    I'm eyeballing a 47 Leaf Williams.

    Some recent pickups for me.

Drake Maye numbered RC. I should have bought more of him...
Two Grails in a row with the Unpeeled Duncan Finest Rc.  This is a great card because you will NEVER see these graded this high with the peel on ever again.  All the grading companies stopped doing this a while ago.
The Gump Worsely was a card I have wanted forever.  Finally found one in a nice grade too for a nice price. One of the last goalies to wear a mask.  Said he "hated every minute of it".
Last is Pokemon Charizards. 3 are stamped.  Those are prereleases.  The bottom right is from the 2023 Classic series.  The one next to it is from 2016 Evolutions.  Both are from the original series and a timeless piece of art.  Definitely my favorite design.
Top left is 2020 Vivid Voltage Prerelease sealed pack and finally a Crystal Guardians Prerelease from 2006.  They call this "the lost years".  There was a 10 year span where the Pokemon cards are pretty rare.  This is a tough one to find in any condition.

Oh yeah and someone sent me the wrong Charizard card and a fake one at that recently. Dude had zero feedback but thought I'd give him a chance.  He failed.

Another recent ebay purchase was cancelled and the scumbag relisted the very card I won.  Was very happy to give him negative feedback.  Looked at his profile and he had 87% feedback rating.  He now has 84%...

I have 5 of the 2018 Topps Now Ohtani cards which were graded by PSA.

The PSA 10 seems to go for $200 on Ebay.

What do you people think of the future value of the cards?  Is there anything Ohtani can do to get to an even higher level of prestige?

I'll be honest and didn't think his cards would go any higher but they have.

I sold all of my ohtanis 2 months too early.  My BC RC sold for 1400.  Its a 3400 card now.  Everything I had doubled and tripled in price.

In all my years collecting I have never seen a surge like this.

There is a huge bull market right now that isn't sustainable. Eventually people are going to stop making money and it will crash.

As long as hes healthy and plays good and the card market is still bullish his stuff will go up.

When will any of the above stop happening is anybodys guess though.

It was a bit weird…..the 5 cards were stored together and submitted to PSA together.  I got back a 10, three 9’s and an 8.&

Very cool Fingers auto.  His is a little different today.  He is such a frequent signer it has morphed some.  Great Banks auto too.
