Whiz has its time & place imo - and that's usually 2 in the morning slathered all over a Heart Attack 'wit with Whiz fries and a Cherry Coke from Pat's.  But I prefer American, particularly the Cooper Sharp that is all the craze.

Gotta be honest - the amount of coverage Angelo's gets anymore is getting exhausting. Absolutely delicious for sure, but at some point give it a rest ya know?
And the coverage is why there was so many people were there when I wanted to get a cheesesteak from Angelos. About 2 hours for a Cheesesteak? I didn't need one that bad=LOL

Some of my faves out that way were Riggtown and Pepper Mill but it's been a decade (or two) at this point.

Makes me remember:  RIP 15 North. When I lived two doors down (where Limoncello now is) they started having a late night cheesesteak set up. That was the absolute best when they were closing down for the night. Until the bathrooms above the kitchen flooded one night and all the turd water came through the ceiling and started sizzling when it hit the griddle. Literally a gigantic shit storm of steam & water. And then that was the end of cheesesteaks at 15 North for me.

West Chester was tons of fun in my early 20s.

Pepper Mill has gone way downhill in the past 10 years or so.

Went to a place near me called Joey’s Pizza in thorndale. Cheese was real good. Bread was decent as was the steak.
