    last week.
    LOL
    This weekend we rock Portland
  • We had the Kennedy award?  Was that what it was called?  We competed against each other in various workouts and would win an award for it.  I won it once.

Kids competing against each other happens in schools.  Is he making it an Crossfit type of thing?  Gladiators? Bear bating?

I don't see this as anything crazy unless Trump decides to go full .

    go full what?

it's nothing crazy...yet. it's just so on brand with his demagoguery that it was easy to draw the line to hunger games and make fun of it.

So, you want that word to come back into regular usage?

  • So, you want that word to come back into regular usage?

Absolutely. I think every word should not be offensive.  Sticks and stones.  I would discuss it with you privately if you'd like so you see I'm not trying to be barbaric.

  • Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer

Too bad I’ll likely be out of here less than a year before retirement when I would consider sharing my full story that lasted close to five years. Not that the truth matters to happy you or the angry men around here, who would come up with any excuse to call me a liar to prevent them from considering facts regarding the harms of their beloved policies.

None of which prevents you from making a claim. Call the EEOC if you believe you’ve been wronged. You’re encouraged to by their secretary or under secretary.

An instance of harm from a “beloved policies” is not indicative of failure of said policies. Might as well jettison all gun laws and traffic laws if that’s the case. Acknowledgment of past injustice and trying to right past wrongs is not the crime you think it is.

Yup, fuck the truth is right. Hilarious coming from someone not once critical of CCOOTWH and his “truths.” Just more “it’s the dems’s fault for everything” spiel.

I’ll own that and defend my position.

I have a cousin that this happened to in Florida.  He and multiple people were passed up on promotions.  They sued and won.

    It happens.

Yes I believe it does happen but I’m talking about the hiring practices! If a white person and a black person both go for a job and the black person gets the job how can the white candidate prove that he was by passed, I would think that’s tough to prove

You are right it’s extremely difficult to prove and there  are very low ceilings regarding potential awards for claimants, that’s why employers continue to have “workforce diversity” goals in their hiring and reorganization strategies, while it’s illegal for college admissions, without such award ceilings. For colleges it was worth it for plaintiffs to sue, and they won.

If a hiring managers boss says “you are required to have xx% diversity after the next reorganization” how is it possible they will not consider diversity ahead of merit? Tough to prove, but when the before team picture has 35% white dudes and the after picture 10% we know what likely happened, but nearly impossible to prove, without access to internal emails and recordings of meetings.

It’s just 24/7 bias from you. You post like you know something and you don’t. You have minimal knowledge on this and refuse to better yourself, year after year.

    Per EEOC,

Limits On Compensatory & Punitive Damages

There are limits on the amount of compensatory and punitive damages a person can recover. These limits vary depending on the size of the employer:

    • For employers with 15-100 employees, the limit is $50,000.
    • For employers with 101-200 employees, the limit is $100,000.
    • For employers with 201-500 employees, the limit is $200,000.
    • For employers with more than 500 employees, the limit is $300,000.“

And reverse discrimination is notoriously difficult to prove. This was recently huge news just a couple months ago, how come you’re not aware of it?

     Yes, reverse discrimination claims
used to be tougher to prove due to a "background circumstances" hurdle, but the U.S. Supreme Court recently ruled (June 2025) that majority-group plaintiffs face the same standard as anyone else, removing that higher burden and making them easier to bring, though proving any discrimination case still requires evidence of disparate treatment based on protected traits. “
