Money is still on Ohana 2026 as their first show back with new drummer.
This is what I’ve been thinking for a while as well. Debut the new drummer at Ohana, and then play a spring tour in ‘27. But who knows?
Yea something like that is my guess too.

I'll take anything at this point: PJ tour, festivals, one-off, residency; Earthlings; Mike solo.

    Just give me something!

Is this a Dark Matter worship thread or is it about tour rumors? For readers interested in tour rumors, it's starting to get tiresome.
There are no rumors right now dude. That’s why we’re bored and discussing DM

Pearl Jam has played at least one show/set every year but the two covid years.  You know they aren't going to break the non covid streak, even with drummer questions.  So what is everyone's best guess?  1 show/set, 4 shows, or 8 shows?  I don't see any more than 8, and it won't be happening before the Fall of 2026.

Come on PJ, I've got a new free bootleg code for one show in 2026 that's burning a hole in my digital pocket!

Technically 2019 was pre covid and they didn’t have any shows ever scheduled that year. 2020 was definitely Covid caused as they cancelled that tour.  2021 was still Covid times but they still had the festivals in the fall.

With that all said, I think 2019 was definitely an outlier and they will play some sort of gig/s in 2026.  I’m thinking fall 2026.

  • In 2019 we didn’t have shows but we did have a very active and eventually accurate rumor thread that let us know about all the expected 2020 shows (which Covid later changed).  This year it has been totally radio silent since the Matt news.  Even the usual sources of rumors haven’t said anything.  As fans we are not owed anything but it would be nice to have a few crumbs.

  • So...Something Special or Buckle Up?  Who's heard both?  I only got Buckle Up....and I'm good with that, haha. It was actually better live than I thought it would be though.

Rumours for the spring 2020 tour didn’t really starts up into November or December 2019.
Earlier that year they were rumoured to play the Woodstock anniversary thing that didn’t end up happening.  Other than that it was largely the same as what this thread is.

I’m hoping they break their trend and do an Autumn Euro tour but in all honesty I would just be happy to see them play again no matter where they play. Weird that all the EV tour rumours amounted to nothing (Australia/US West Coast)

It was teased on the Can’t Deny Me single (from their “forthcoming album”). I don’t think it was entirely scrapped and I had seen mentioned somewhere that some of the songs eventually made Gigaton (River Cross, Quick Escape etc). Suppose we will find out eventually if the band ever does another b-side album.

Thing is sometimes they have given us crumbs ("big, bold, and free," "the forthcoming album") and it gets held against them when it doesn't come to fruition. To play shows they'd have to find a new musician for the first time in almost 30 years. Who knows where they even are on that. Anything could happen, but hard to have any expectations at all about updates.

Interesting... Thank you - We did hear River Cross at Ohana in 2017 and at the time we had no idea what it was, so that makes sense for that song.

I am now pessimistic again about the prospects of anything PJ in 2026.

    Maybe EV.

I think they’ll do 2026 like 2023. 10 or so shows. Handful of cities, 2 shows each. Day off in between. The new routine.

Keep the machine going. Welcome Dave K back for the 4th quarter. Full PJ circle.
