One is too many and a thousand never enough
  • Beautiful song..... I think these are close. Let me know if i screwed it up.

    If I keep holding out
    Will the light shine through
    Under this broken roof
Its only rain that I feel
Ive been wishing out the days
    Ohh ohh oh come back

    I have been planning out
All that I'd say to you
    Since you slipped away
Know that I still remain true
Ive been wishing out the days
Please say that if you hadnt gone now
I wouldnt have lost you another way
    From wherever you are
Ohhhh ohh ohh oh oh come back

And these days they linger on
And in the night ive been waiting for
The real possibility that I may meet you in my dreams
    I go to sleep
If i dont fall apart, Will my memory stay clear
So you had to go, And I had to remain here

    But the strangest thing today
So far away and yet you feel so close
And Im not gonna question any other way
There must be an open door
For you uhh uhh uhh.... To come back

And the days they linger on
And every night when Im waiting for
The real possibility that I may meet you in my dreams
Sometimes you're there and you're talking back to me
Come the morning I can swear that you're next to me
    And its okayyyyyy

    Its ok...its ok
    (gorgeous McCready solo)

Come Back is beautiful.... the ending is awesome... Eddie singing "I need you come back, come back" over the top of that beautiful guitar solo, then into the excellent singalong material Whoooooo whooo whooo whoo!

And Inside Job, how awesome is the opening, the piano tops it off. Mike has penned a masterpiece.

I finally figured out what "Come Back" sounds like, it sounds like U2s Love Rescue Me.

Ms. Haiku...we're gonna have to find some tastey treats to match up with the new songs, you need to give me a few days to let everything sink in first;)...I luv Come Back:o

OHMYGOD I baked almond-apricot bars with chocolate ganache that I brought into work. They were stellar this morning until i carried the tins with the covers still on upside down accidentally - - - then they were mush. Staff where i work ate them anyway, so that's good. I've been trying the King Arthur Flour Cookie Book and I have had great results. I'm trying to figure out if any of the songs/bandmembers are fudgy brownies, cakey brownies or fudgy/cakey brownies (which is the best recipe.) I just don't think they're brownies.

So far the songs are all steamed vegetables, and I don't steam vegetables much. I have to listen more for the steamed vegetables to graduate to full fledged decadent dessert ;)

I just listened to this new CD. I am blown away. WOW what an experience and yes, inside job is unbelievable song. That CD ends with a huge bang. I was wondering what oyu guys thought of maker in the sand. That song was quite amazing. What do you think about this song????

Does anyone else just want to start running during the middle of "Inside Job" right before, "Let me run into the rain". I swear, everytime I hear it, I just want to put everything down and run.

"Marker In The Sand" is great, a beautiful chorus. But Id have to say my favorite song is "Army Reserve", lyrics are powerful and the music is perfect. I think this is the hidden gem of "Pearl Jam".

what do you guys think "come back" is about? do you think it's about a break up, or do you think (in following a theme of many of the songs on the album) it's about someone going away to war? like some of lyrics being about remaining true while you're gone and that going off to war is the only way you would leave. thoughts???
