If I keep holding out
Will the light shine through
Under this broken roof
Its only rain that I feel
Ive been wishing out the days
Ohh ohh oh come back
I have been planning out
All that I'd say to you
Since you slipped away
Know that I still remain true
Ive been wishing out the days
Please say that if you hadnt gone now
I wouldnt have lost you another way
From wherever you are
Ohhhh ohh ohh oh oh come back
And these days they linger on
And in the night ive been waiting for
The real possibility that I may meet you in my dreams
I go to sleep
If i dont fall apart, Will my memory stay clear
So you had to go, And I had to remain here
But the strangest thing today
So far away and yet you feel so close
And Im not gonna question any other way
There must be an open door
For you uhh uhh uhh.... To come back
And the days they linger on
And every night when Im waiting for
The real possibility that I may meet you in my dreams
Sometimes you're there and you're talking back to me
Come the morning I can swear that you're next to me
And its okayyyyyy
Its ok...its ok
(gorgeous McCready solo)

Ohhh i need you....come back, come back

Ohhhh I need you come back, come back

I can't stop listening to "Pearl Jam" in general.
It is superlative, beautiful, and filled to the top with love!
If I opened it now would you not understand?
That's exactly what I'm saying!! "Pearl Jam" IS THE SHIT!!!

The risk I took was calculated, but man, am I bad at math - The Mincing Mockingbird
So far the songs are all steamed vegetables, and I don't steam vegetables much. I have to listen more for the steamed vegetables to graduate to full fledged decadent dessert

~~~such a sweet sweet song~~~
cheers to come back!
inside job is a song to be very proud of,the genius of mike strikes again!!!
"Marker In The Sand" is great, a beautiful chorus. But Id have to say my favorite song is "Army Reserve", lyrics are powerful and the music is perfect. I think this is the hidden gem of "Pearl Jam".
My second fav song on the album at the moment
i dont quite know what its about for ed, but for me i take it as losing a loved one, very powerful stuff
the song is so beautiful - its flawless really, the guitar solo at the end gives me goosebumps.. watching it live in toronto (5/9) was an amazing thing.
I had seats way up in 307 level, in Toronto may 9/06 and looking out
at the audience reacting to these songs was incredible.
Great feeling from Mr. Mike and Mr. ED.
Sing a long was fun at the end of Come Back.
Both songs are flawless masterpieces. The whole album feels pure and raw!
What is the meaning behind this:
I'm not blind
I can see it coming
Looks like lightning
In my child's eye
I'm not frantic
I can feel it coming
Violently shakes
My body
Also in the end:
"I'm not frantic
I can feel it coming
Darling you'll save me
If you save yourself"
Get the rest of the song but I am getting mixed ideas...please inform?
I was in section 319...lol secong time seeing PJ. First time Hamilton last year. They are truely amazing to see live. I dont know for sure but is seemed like Ed was not singing during "given to fly" or "betterman".... the crowd was awesome. What you think? Could be just where I was sitting....
i believe its ... "i'll be here" instead of "i need you" ...
" makes much more sense to live in the present tense "
