    Its at least acknowledging that there is some sort of disparity. At least its attempting to correct. Without it, theres no motivation for widespread change.


    We literally just went through a cultural cycle of people trying to point out that privilege exists (especially for white folks) and society generally went, 'nuh-uh'.

    Practically never. If someone has a better resume and interview, they get the job. Difficult to believe we live in a country where applicants names need to be hidden. But let that not stop us from providing education and training to those in need.

    Lol i have seen plenty of under qualified morons get a job just because they know the right people and have connections. In almost all situations the under qualified person was a white male and other more qualified candidates of all races were passed over because they  weren't part of the boys club.  Meritocracy has never existed across the board in the USA.

    I like the idea if a blind process during hiring. No names identifying info etc until the interview.

    If they're offering Executives bonuses to attain diversity hiring targets then of course it's in the interest of that person to consider ethnicity or gender first.

    I don't recall saying that it did not. One of the fundamentals of my beliefs are too wrongs do not make a right. Merit before identity.
