When the collapse happens, remember who and which party was responsible. They are purposely driven to create “American carnage” so he can rise above the rubble. It’ll be over by 2028. Link to Letter From An American. Lots of connecting dots.

trump cancels Harris' secret service detail....I hope the next Dem in power remembers this. trump seems to feel strongly that anyone who he thinks can afford their own detail should pay for it.

“This is another act of revenge following a long list of political retaliation in the form of firings, the revoking of security clearances and more. This puts the former Vice President in danger and I look forward to working with the Governor to make sure Vice President Harris is safe in Los Angeles,” Bass told CNN in a statement.

I'm an MMA fan. But I find this devalues the grounds of the White House immensely. I don't think White House grounds are appropriate for any type of sporting event.

such a petty man. if i am ever elected president on day one i cancel his, and his entire administration's secret service protection. he is allegedly a billionaire that has bilked us for billions, he can pay for his own security.

if he wasn't such an asshole, and as beloved by everyone as he says, maybe he wouldn't need it.

Former presidents receive Secret Service protection for life. Harris, as a former vice president, received six months of protection after leaving office, according to federal law. That period ended on July 21. However, her protection had been extended for an additional year via a directive – not made public until now – signed by then-President Joe Biden shortly before leaving office, according to multiple people familiar with the undisclosed arrangement.

Sounds like the norm is 6 months which ran out in July.

Yep, that's standard practice. Kammie's book tour begins Sept. 24, so maybe Simon & Schuster can pick up the tab for security. After all, they do need to protect their reported $20 million investment.
Oh wait - the book is getting horrendous reviews. Maybe they don't even need to bother...

yeah, I hate watching events when Trump is there. All the fighters kiss his ass after they win. Like, 90% of them.

i quit watching 6 or 7 years ago. mcgregor and his stupid stunts ruined it for me.

i guess it is easier to drop an octagon somewhere on the white house grounds than it is to build a 1 mile nascar track, which is what maga really wants for the 250th anniversary.

I mean, he did though. She's supposed to have another year.

And I can understand why they would give a liberal, female, black, VP who ran against Trump an extra year of protection.

    He did.

The other headline is misleading. Lots of people, including myself, are learning today that secret service protection for former VP's is six months after they leave that office.

    Very good point.
Plus, in reality, the statement "...signed by then-President Joe Biden shortly before leaving office" is highly suspect. We now know that Joe wasn't actually signing anything himself at that point in time.

    Six months is the standard.
