Honest question? Are you pro Conservative or just anti Liberal?

the Conservative Party in my opinion is in disarray and it will be sometime before they regain power with the current cast of characters.

no the Liberals are not perfect, but they are tolerable.
I’d say I’m equally both, but more importantly to me I’m focused on criticizing the current government (regardless of party) instead of the opposition.

The Liberal Party, both federally and provincially, have been disappointments to me, especially the last 20 years. The McGuinty/Wynne Liberals seemingly couldn’t cause scandals that didn’t involve a billion dollars as the starting point. Federally I’m well-documented here about the Trudeau Liberals, they’re the main reason Trump has us bent over a barrel currently, and Carney hasn’t done much to win me over other than putting his elbows down and kissing Trump’s ass (I think soft hands work better against Trump). That’s part of my problem with the Liberals as well: too often they say anything to get elected, and if they win they often do the opposite (I’ll also point to the continued existence of the GST as an example).

As to supporting the Conservatives, I’ll reiterate that on my own 3 pillars of government (the economy, the military, law and order) over my life it’s been the Conservatives that have delivered policies and legislation that are more in line with my thoughts and values. I suppose I prefer a bit of prudence from my government, which is a more likely trait with Conservatives.

The website has Harper in office for 1500 days (not accurate), and actually lists Trudeau as “still in office”. So I think it’s fair to question their accuracy.

To be fair, this seems to be the only group engaged in this analysis, and they do post their methodology transparently.

Good for Harper. The people voted for him, so the more he got accomplished for the majority of voters is a good thing, even if I disagree with some of those accomplishments.

There are a few promises, big ones, that JT didn’t keep (election reform) which was one of the reasons I voted for him. First past the post is stupid and unfair to the west.
