Trump was 6'3" years ago, but he's 79 years old. He's obviously shrunk by at least a couple of inches, like everyone does when they get old. He's just refusing to adjust the number, lol.

For the record, I hope he’s not the dem nominee because I think it’s low hanging fruit for the hypocritical repub character assassination machine to smear him but if he’s the eventual nominee, I’ll vote for him because he can’t possibly be worse than COOTWH and there’s no current repub I would currently consider. They’re tainted for generations.

What fair criticisms are there of Gavin Newsom that are his own doing/responsibility that can't be lumped in with issues that he would be character assassianted and/or smeared with?

High taxes, high crime, doesn’t love ‘Murica, leftist lunatic socialist, no future for residents, didn’t rake the forests, banned cars, no water, for open borders, to name a few. But honestly, I don’t know. I haven’t followed Cali’s internal political affairs that closely. I’d have to do some research.

Character and ethics don’t matter now and probably won’t for another 30 years. What matters to “swing” voters and Biden voters who stayed home is charisma and emotional response. Newsom is the top dem person in this area. Dems can’t win trying to run defense for republican nihilism, it’s what their party survives and runs on. He needs to convey a message primarily around economic issues and how the economy is consistently much better under dem leadership. Vance is too big of a dork by comparison and can’t step into the cult of personality that is Trump.
