Just a gut feeling, but I don’t think we’re gonna see Pearl Jam live for another couple years or so. Next year, Ed might be out in Europe with the Earthlings or something, but I really don’t see a full-on PJ tour happening anytime soon, especially with everything that’s gone down lately.
    Hope I’m wrong, obviously.

What was the longest time between shows?  I remember 97, 99 and 01-02 really sucking with almost zero shows

Agree. Just hope we aren’t waiting too long. For us Europeans the 6 year wait from 2000 to 2006 was particularly painful (as well as the 4 years from 2014 to 2018)

If I recall PJ was supposed to be in Europe in 2016 but that got cancelled a month before the announcement with the terroist attack at the Eagles of Death Metal show in Paris.  I think most of the cities and dates had leaked and the 2018 tour ended up being very similar to what was rumoured for 2016.

Hopefully for EU/UK that London, Berlin, Vienna and Prague all get shows as they had cancellations the past two tours, and Amsterdam and Italy get shows.  That could be most of tour right there next time PJ goes overseas.

If you were hoping to see Stone Gossard dwarfed by a 360-degree projection of a cosmic jellyfish while fiddling with his in-ears in Vegas, let’s shut that fantasy down now. “Oh god, no” the Pearl Jam guitarist laughs when asked if he’d want to play the Sphere. “Please don’t ask me.”

    SHOW COUNT: (170) 1990's=3, 2000's=53, 2010/20's=114, US=124, CAN=15, Europe=20 ,New Zealand=4, Australia=5

I mean if he says no then it means a no go.

Backstreet Boys sphere act is not just images they are playing full length videos that introduce each song. These videos are montages to the  different decades they sang and danced through.

I’m cool if they want to play it.  I’m cool if they don’t want to play it.  They know what they’re doing.

I hope you're wrong but it feels like it if they don't find a replacement drummer soon.

Lots of baseless speculation re drummer.
It’s just as possible Matt talked to the band sometime in the last quarter of 2024 and let them know he was leaving.  Spring 2025, and 2025 as a whole, changed from what was initially planned in Aug/Sept 2024, I’m assuming due to Matt’s impending departure.
For all we know PJ could have lined up Matt’s replacement before the spring 2025 tour and are just waiting to announce until the band is active either touring or with a record.
