Or... y'know... maybe they are already hashing out plans for the next tour and that's why Matt decided his time is over.

    Maybe.

But it’s not like they did massive tours the last what 10 years unlike a band like DMB, they really weren’t on the road that much.
I don’t think it has anything to do with the grueling schedule of a tour

Not a chance it is due to too much touring.

It can't be. Soundgarden toured & released a new album while he was still with Pearl Jam. Also his time off he's done many site projects & compilations works, while still with Pearl Jam.

That Soundgarden album is 13 years old though, he was a mere 50 year old whippersnapper at the time. And lost Chris and Taylor since that time which will change perspective. Yeah he has side projects but 3rd Secret is basically a local Seattle band compared to PJ. So none of that really tells us his motivations in 2025.

One thing is for sure. When the band returns for a legitimate run of shows, I am not missing a single one. No new album. No safe setlists. Just let it rip.

Spring 2027 is the earliest I see them venturing out again! Can we stop with the Krusen or Dave A returns if you know anything about this band is its unpredictable nature when it comes to personnel decisions

I infer the opposite now, after MC’s departure.

They have been winding down for the last ten years, maybe more. Ed looks up to The Who. Roger and Pete keep playing. I suspect Ed will do the same. Do not be upset at the $300 tickets.

Same. I’m actually pretty optimistic. If the band was planning on calling it quits, then they would have. Their statement makes it pretty clear they’re continuing on. If one of the original four had left, I think it would be a different story. Do I expect huge tours like last year? No. I expect that short targeted tours like this year and ‘23 will become the norm. But I’m confident the band will take the time to find the right drummer to allow them to continue on. And who knows, if they find the right person, it might even inspire them to make another great album (personally I loved DM and thought it was the best album they’ve put out in 20 years) and to get really creative with the setlists.

If you know this band, they do not issue statements. They keep it private.

I hope they continue, if they do these short leg tours all power to them but they got to figure out the ticketing situation.

did they ever look into that member who bought the bot?
