What form of Bowman did you open? I stopped buying the boxes when they ballooned up in price about 5 years ago. Last box i bought and opened from Topps was the 2023 chrome update and got killed on it. Got 2 boxes and pulled 6 autos from the Jumbos and hit 6 pitcher autos... Imagine how happy I was for that... I said , yeah, let me open some new product! So. I pick my battles now, lol. I have had a bunch of fun with WNBA and Football cards. But I don't open much of either.

What did you hit in the Bowman? I will usually enter a few breaks for it.

Topps Now is especially awesome if something interesting happens at a game you attend. I've been taking my son to games for a couple years and I've been fortunate enough to put a couple Topps Now cards next to the ticket stub in an album (Ohtani vs. Yoshida, Jackson Holliday's debut).

The two Topps Now were from playoff team packs that guaranteed an auto. So, it was a crap shoot what player we would get but took the risk. We tend to stay away as of late.

We did the 2025 Bowman Hobby Box. Got some decent pulls (Charlie Condon 1st/RC, Roki RC, several others and a shit auto). The draw for bowman are the Bowman 1sts and RCs. Some of these guys you may not know now but can hit on them later. Definitely a risk but we do it yearly.

Haha, funny, I got a Springer too. Luckily, the Topps Now Auto’s are all numbered, which is a little nicer.

Trying to dump that 1/1 scientist/Brett Baty, but Baty sucks so hard to sell.

Dual player autos can be brutal. There are Bryce Harper and Kris Bryant dual autos. That used to be a monster card. Now Bryant kills the value, lol.

If I pulled these I would be playing the lotto, lol. I had a wild hair to collect every version of a card Trout had in 22 Heritage. I came across the red patch on ebay in 22 I believe. Thought it was cool. Fast forward to last week and the white 1/25 goes up for auction. No way I'm letting this slip through my hands.

So both ebay purchases. There is an Ohtani Trout bat card numbered 1/25 that I might buy too.

Having a goal or quest has really made collecting fun for me. Between Witt and Trout now It's a lot of fun.

I'm pretty adamant about Fanatics destroying the sports card hobby. They are going to weed out whomever they don't deem fit to make them money.

Watch this blog. This guy is pretty good and does one a day about the sports card world. I wrote this on one of his other blogs and have posted this before about fanatics. I think I did on here too.

I wrote this on one of your previous posts 9 days ago and needs repeating... "I have been saying this ever since Fanatics took over licensing. They do not care about dealers or hobby shops unless you are making them money. Fanatics is bullying shops and breakers into becoming fanboys of their brand. They are directly targeting shops because they can't control the vintage market so they will control the distribution of new product to eliminate that facet from them and either make them conform or go out of business. They want absolute control of where the money goes. Fanatics is also mad that they weren't given the rights to The National. This is the whole reason for Fanatics Fest. They want to make sure everything cardboard related goes through them. You will see more card shops go out of business because of them. Just say no to Fanatics. I won't step foot in a Fanatics Fest ever."

Can someone please explain was a "break" is? I see that Fanatics has a site where you pay for a certain team, and then they open a pack?

The seller has an unopened box or boxes of cards. They open or “break” the packs on a live stream for transparency purposes. You would receive all the cards for the team you are assigned/bought once the packs are opened.

Its a cheaper way to get cards but with the odds now a days its tough to pull anything. Might as well spend the money and open a box but even that can be a horrible experience when you get a middle relievers auto...
