    I've totally forgotten how to post an image. Anyway, you are correct that Gump Worsley was one of the LAST goalies to wear a mask. However, you're incorrect about him having stitches on his mask. That honor goes to my goalie idol (l was a goaltender) Gerry Cheevers of my hometown team the BOSTON BRUINS. He was #30 of which I've his jersey with STITCHES on the back. Yes an equipment manager did place stitches on his the mask wherever he got hit. Gerry l believe was the FIRST goalie to have a design on his mask.
