No matter what system they implement, there will always be people scamming. It's inevitable. Same w/ the tickets.0 -
I'd probably have a stronger opinion on this if they went back to playing TD Garden or Mansfield and I had to deal with merch at those places. The Fenway early merch days have been so clutch.0

I used to get better tickets with postcards. Now we have less shows and more bot competition. Throw us a bone. I’d pay $45 a year for the ability to not burn a personal day at work to gamble my time in a merch line a half day’s drive away.
The shirt that Jeff designed, the black Tshirt with the security camera, Easy Street records shirt, etc.
I wasn't a huge fan of the Pitt shirts or posters so nothing for me this year. I wouldn't mind a token and sticker but I'll get them from ebay if I feel the need.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

I did like the 2025 Dark Matter Tour pull over hoodie. Thankfully they had an abundance of those. After N2 I was able to walk right up to a merch stand on the 100 level and get one ez-pz.Pittsburgh, PA September 28, 2005 || Washington, DC June 22, 2008 || Barstow, VA May 13, 2010 || Seattle, WA August 10, 2018 || Dana Point, CA September 29, 2018 (EV) || Dana Point, CA September 28, 2019 (EV) || Dana Point, CA September 25, 2021 (EV) || Dana Point, CA October 1, 2021 || Dana Point, CA October 2, 2021 || Chicago, IL August 29, 2024 || Pittsburgh, PA May 16, 2025 || Pittsburgh, PA May 18, 20250 -
Question for the folks who are more knowledgeable about this than I am: Couldn't you double or triple the amount of tour posters, and if they don't sell out, continue to offer them on the pearl jam site like they do now? If they're worried about left over stock from increased production, just do a yearly xmas mystery poster bundle sale (or whatever)? That way the flippers would be pissed about their returns diminishing since the product is readily available, and everyone could get the posters they want for their collection.

Merkin Baller said:I don't think there's nearly enough motivation for the band to change things up from this current model.
Expanding the 10C operation & adding to the warehouse staff probably isn't something they're looking to do at this point in their existence.
I think a Company in Australia handled all the Operating of the Website and Supplying the Merchandise even thought the Tees were branded Paul McCartney.
I wish McCartney's Merch Crew would get together with Pearl Jams Merch Crew.
It must make more money for everyone except for us as were are spending more. lol0 -
JimmyV said:Things could be reordered, reprinted, restocked. Presales could gauge needed inventory. Limited items needn't be limited.
The Pearl Jam secondary market is a goldmine for flippers because of the scarcity of certain items and the time it takes to acquire them. It doesn't need to be that way. Pearl Jam could be selling more and making more.
You would expect it eventually run out but whilst it was there it would continue to turn over,
Fans are always wishing that they got this or that.
It would be so good.
I know how good it could be.0 -
bootlegger10 said:I wonder if folks would drop out of collecting if there wasn’t any scarcity to some of it. Flippers obviously would scale back. Maybe not since already an ingrained behavior.bootlegger10 said:I wonder if folks would drop out of collecting if there wasn’t any scarcity to some of it. Flippers obviously would scale back. Fans always want everything.
Although I guess some want to have items that others don't but for Tour Merch you probably wouldn't be expected limited stuff even though that's what seems to happen more often than not these Days.0 -
Hawk123 said:They can clear out thousands of posters, shirts, stickers, buttons, tokens, dog leashes, skateboards, whatever else they decide in a couple hours - no picking, packing, shipping, lost packages, damaged posters. It’s just easier this way. Any leftovers get dumped in mystery boxes. Rinse and repeat every few years. It’s an efficient operation
People that are handling and shipping merch to the venues would now be shipping also to Fans directly.
It would be like a pop up shop online for the Tour Period.
Believe me it would be great!
