Merchandise Sales Online
Without sounding like a scratched record as I have mentioned this before in different places regarding Merch Sales at Shows.
I think everyone agrees that something needs to be done regarding purchasing of Merch at shows to make it easier for everyone
to be able to purchase.
Pearl Jam could do what Paul McCartney did when he Toured Australia in 2023 (I'm not sure he does this Overseas or whether is was just
An Australian thing) It worked really well and was so easy.
This is how it worked:
At the Start of the Tour you could go onto a Website where all the Tour Merch was listed for the Entire Tour.
1: I ordered a Tee before the show I was going to it arrived in time to wear.
2: At the Show I purchased Merch from the Merch Booth.
3: When I got back to room after the Show I kept thinking about the Merch I should've got
went online to the Website and ordered more.
4: A week later went back to the Website and was looking at the Merch and I purchased more.
It was such an easy process arrived in good time especially the first order.
It was the best merch purchasing process ever.
You could and would sell so much merch this way and Fans have good access to the Merch and aren't missing out.
Maybe this is something The Band could think about for Future Shows.

Why wouldn’t they want to sell more merch (more money). I get it they have to par a number of shirts, show related items per show but this group is almost psychotic when it comes to collecting. People want shirts, buttons, posters, etc for shows they weren’t even at, I would be capitalizing on that. What do they do with all the show specific merchandise at the end of the day that’s left over?Chicago 6/29/98, Alpine Valley(EV) 6/13/99, Alpine Valley 10/08/00, Chicago 10/09/00, Phoenix 10/20/00, Orlando 4/12/03, Tampa 4/13/03, San Diego 6/05/03, Vegas 6/06/03, Phoenix 6/07/03, Chicago 6/18/03, Alpine Valley 6/21/03, Orlando 10/08/04, D.C. 10/11/04, Chicago 5/16/06, Chicago 5/17/06, LA 7/12/08, Chicago 8/23/09, Chicago 8/24/09, LA 10/07/09, San Diego 10/09/09 (Front Row Center, Finally), Phoenix(EV) 11/4/11, Wrigley 7/19/13, Phoenix 11/19/13, Denver 10/22/14, Wrigley 8/20/16, Wrigley 8/22/160

It's something that needs to happen. If Tsurt can't provide this option then it's time to find a new vendor who can. Watching long lines of people reach your merch stands only to be turned away because what they want is sold out is not maximizing profits.___________________________________________

I blame PJ management. If I were in charge I would set up a T Shirt printing operation in that warehouse and rake in the cash.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

Last few tours I did not sit in the merch lines outside, used to love it too.0 -

I bought Jeff's shirt here so that was good enough for me. If I have to have something I'll wait awhile and buy it on ebay. Not worth the wait and the stress of finally getting up there and them not having what I waited two hours for. Screw that.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

It sold the whole range.
It was such a good idea.
also good for other Fans to pick up some merch if they aren't going to the Shows.
I still had merch to carry at the show but being able to go home
and think yeah I should've got that Tee and poster and oh yeah I might as well chuck a key ring and stubbie holder in too.
So much money to be made.

Absolutely. I absolutely hated waiting five hours in line in Raleigh only to not get the things I wanted most. We could be exploring cities, shopping small businesses, sightseeing. Sitting in line all day seemed so stupid to me.#Grievance20250

They would definitely generate more revenue with an online pre-order. That said, costs would likely be higher (more logistical hurdles, more employees to pack orders, etc...) and while an online ordering platform would be better for the fans it's certainly more work for the band. I just don't see them shying away from the current method...TSURT runs the entire operation so the band and 10c have to do very, very little work as it pertains to the at-show merchandising. As much as I'd love it, I just don't ever see it happening.0

I had a conversation in Nashville with someone very well connected to the concert merch business. Every question I asked was answered with "that's their decision". Referring to the bands management.
I asked that they pass on that there are a lot of us who travel from show to show and DO NOT WAIT in any lines. And are therefore not buying any merch or minimal merch. I would have spent hundreds of dollars more in ATL/NASH/PIT if getting the merch I wanted didn't involve 5-7 hours in line each day to get the merch I wanted.
On the other hand thanks PJ management for saving me some $$$.Post edited by Bentleyspop on0 -

That would be cool with me. I refuse to wait more than 5 minutes on a merch line for any band.severed hand thirteen2006: Gorge 7/23 2008: Hartford 6/27 Beacon 7/1 2009: Spectrum 10/30-31
