Metallica have announced their Summer EU/UK 2026 tour dates.
No one lets their fans know in advance quite like Metallica does. Much easier to sell out Football stadiums when people have 14 months to buy tickets.
2010: Cleveland 2012: Atlanta 2013: London ONT / Wrigley Field / Pittsburgh / Buffalo / San Diego / Los Angeles I / Los Angeles II 2014: Cincinnati / St. Louis / Tulsa / Lincoln / Detroit / Denver 2015: New York City 2016: Ft. I hope the intel is off and things change but it is seeming like Europeans may have a little wait to endure until we see the band again. If the band are downing tools for 1-2 years that realistically rules out summer 2026. so perhaps it will be 2027 until the boys return. That would be a blow, they aint getting any younger so the concept of not having many more chances to see them tour over here becomes real and painful.
He could have meant 1-2 years in the US…. Also next June/July is 1-2 years away
hearing from a usually very very credible source to expect nothing until fall 2026 at the earliest.
Naturally I hope either he's wrong (he isnt usually) or things change and a big offer is made to get them over here.
I'm hearing the same thing.
Late 2026 IF the new album progresses quickly enough and they want to push it out and go on tour then. It could be April or May 2026 and they realize August/September isn't going to happen. They could also put it on ice until April-June 2027.
I wouldn't expect any rumors or leaks until July 2026 at the very earliest and even then, I'm having low expectations.
Interestingly - there appears to be no plans to record also. But we shall see.
I'd love to see more promotion of the DM before we get a new one. to think it might be forgotten now like LB and gigaton have moving forward is a bit disappointing given we have had few chances to experience it so far.

Thank you again for your info!
It seems that DM translates live better than LB and Gigaton. I know I prefer DM over the other two recordings.
🤞 that they include multiple DM tracks in future shows.

I think they are most certainly taking a well deserved break. However, I would be surprised if we don’t see/ hear from the band before 2027. Jeff had some great remarks at the end of the Rick Beato interview about life and loss. He talks about how he would drop anything to play with the guys, not taking the time they have together for granted, etc. I thought it was really genuine/ powerful message. Mike also agreed that he’s at his best when they are all together. They’ve got a ton of great momentum going right now. I think they’ll build on that.
They only played 11 shows after being off for FIVE months!!!! Thats, five MONTHS, not days, not even weeks, but MONTHS!!! Thats a nice stretch, one us working mutts only dream of….
Just because they're not touring doesn't mean they're not working. All these guys have many irons in many fires.
How often I've heard that. It always sounds like the boys have to work full time, stress, no time for the family and children. Only 30 days of vacation a year. And a Pearl Jam tour would be a necessary evil for them, a freelance side job that unfortunately has to be squeezed in somehow alongside all their other “irons in many fires”. So come on. As if each of the guys can't take as much time off as they want. They've all made a living for themselves and their loved ones.

Now that ain't workin' that's the way you do it Let me tell ya them guys ain't dumb Maybe get a blister on your little finger Maybe get a blister on your thumb
Sounds like there’s a chance the band is going to U.K. and Germany next year! 🙏
Would like to take this moment to remind everyone what such content-less, false hope-inducing social media posts mean. Nothing.
yeah unfortunally i think that ship has sailed and is not coming back.
this is the best scenario we have so far :
Ed & Earthlings 2025 September - US West Coast November - Australia
Ed & Earthlings 2026 Spring - Europe
I sincerely hope this doesn't happen, Id be all over a PJ or EV solo tour, earthlings just wouldnt be of interest to me. At most I'd get to one show maybe. I still have no connection to the album
Going to hold out all hope on somehow PJ appearing over this way next year. That would make my year

it comes down to taste i guess , i would love a earthlings tour over an Ed tour.

Sure, but its funny how people think these poor rock stars need a long break after, what, 48 shows in 365 days. These poor men, how ungodly.
Pearl Jam are in their twilight, they are very aware of that. No way they play no shows for a year or two, not going to happen
Metallica have announced their Summer EU/UK 2026 tour dates.
Yep. And I still don’t get why some people don’t understand why the late announcement was key to the low ticket sales on some of the PJ Euro 2024 dates (much more so than the ticket prices). Same thing happened in 2023/2024. Foo fighters announced June 23 and PJ in Feb 24. Couldn’t go to Dublin PJ as bought my FF London ticket 8 months earlier (shows on the same night)

In Pitt he said it would be 1-2 years until they returned to the microphone, but im pretty sure he said THIS microphone. So maybe he just specifically meant pittsburgh, haha.
No evidence to back it up, but I also believe they will be working on a new album sooner than we might expect. Its also worth mentioning that Matt may be busy at work on the final soundgarden tracks
"Well, I think this band is incapable of sucking."

Well, we know they recorded in Australia...
But I bet they don't do much together for the rest of the year.

Wasn't that rumour of recording in Aus just part of a radio show prank involving Stone?

Yeah that’s what I saw too, but a whole lotta people seem to think it’s real so who knows?
As much as Dark Matter is a good album, I really hope the next tour is not a new album tour.
I found the non-album tours to be way less inspired shows than when the band has new music.
2005 I thought was really special, and although I didn’t attend Europe 2007 the setlists looked great.
2006 and 2007 were better than 2008. 2009 and 2010 were better than 2011 and 2012. 2013-2016 was better than 2018.
I think the live shows lose steam the longer they tour the same record.
At the age PJ is at, I’d rather they make as much new music as possible.
