Don’t understand why the band wouldn’t agree to another 10 shows in 5 cities to make a million each if not more. Kansas City x2 - Milwaukee x2 - Detroit x2 - Hartford x2 - Toronto x2
My $0.02 is that they didn't necessarily want to tour this spring, but the Seminole Hard Rock made them an offer that was too good go pass up so they planned a mini-tour around it. I have no inside info, just thinking out loud.
I hear ya, but also these shows have been really good. Maybe Philly 1 was so good they thought they have to play in 2025 😆 They gotta be having fun in order to play Hold On
Hah, I’ll second that one! Took my son to that show (Philly 1), his first show. And taking him again this weekend to both Pittsburgh shows. Going to be a blast!

Weren’t Earthling tix like $250 a pop last time? Probably even more expensive this time around if they are still playing small rooms. Which I assume they will. Will be an easy pass unfortunately
Agreed. I can't justify paying Pearl Jam prices (or more  :s) for Pearl Jam lite.
I remember folks with similar feelings when Ed went solo for the first time back in 2008.

Wonder if Ed and/or Earthlings will hop on some Who tour dates, timeline kinda lines up

    & I remember enjoying Ed's 1st two solo albums.

Can't say the same about the Earthlings.

I would pay the $250 to see Ed solo in an intimate setting.  Not with a supporting band.  Not remotely comparable, IMO.

Bummed there's a Sunday show in Vegas on Ohana weekend. I am suspicious we may see new members of the Earthlings Friday night. Neil? Roger? 🤔

The fact that The Earthlings are supporting Ed at Ohana leads me to believe there is likely a short run of EV dates to be announced once the Pitt Shows are over.  You typically wouldn’t pull that group together for just one show.

I’ve almost talked myself into the fact that 2026 will be South America and Europe only.  Maybe a short fall US run in advance of the midterms, but I also wonder how much energy the guys have left in them to try and do politically timed concerts these days.  We’ve had almost 50 shows in 13 months, that’s damn good.  I got to 4 of them.  Still not enough.
    You believe correctly.

Is EV at Red Rocks a possibility?

I had the same thought. I think I’m gonna take my dad to the Chicago Who show ‘cause I’m hoping that Ed shows up.😁

Solo Ed, I’m there. Earthlings would be an easy pass. I don’t care to hear Pearl Jam sloppily played by a different band. Absolutely love Chad and how he fits in with the Chili peppers, but he played PJ songs like shit. When I saw Earthlings anyway.

I’d go see Ed/Earthlings if it was close to me. Not getting on a plane for it.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

What happened to the source who said Soldier field show was happening to celebrate 30 years since the 1st show? Supposed to be this summer.

Ed saying this is the end of the Dark Matter era at tonight's show doesn't bode well for anything more this year.

Probably means a new album is next though, which would be cool.

Folks, we’re at damn near 50 shows in 13 months.  They played on 3 continents as well.  They’ve earned 6 months or longer off, and if there is any truth the thought of a new album, then 2026 will be another wonderful year.  I made it to 3 DM shows and still walk out amazed at how good they sound, and how much fun they seemed to be having.  I’m not a huge fan of the 2 shows per city concept, but if they like it, and it keeps them touring, I’m in.

I’d go see the Earthlings if it was close.  They were my first post Covid show and I thought it was a fun time.  For now, I’ll see Mt Joy a couple times along with a few summer night sets at CSM while I continue to listen to DM front to back.  My hope is that we’re all bitching about a 10C lottery bias soon!

So many cities won’t get to experience Dark Matter in all it’s glory. That’s a bummer!! I hope they don't shelve it as hard as they did for Gigaton this run.

I’d expect DM, Wreckage, React & Setting Sun to continue popping up at least. When the album dropped I would have guessed Stevie too but given that’s only been played once this year (and was a write-in at that) I’m less confident about that

It’s a real shame in my view. Here in Europe I know lots of people who missed it. I was lucky going to the Barcelona and Manchester shows. But I know so many people who were only going to London or to Berlin. Just think the Germans, Dutch, Italians, Esstern Europeans, many Brits and Canadians and South Americans aren’t going to see the Dark Matter Tour which is a real shame as it’s their best album for over 20 years.

Yeah I missed the Dark Matter tour (dutchie). Still keeping a tiny bit of hope for a tour in Europe in '26 but I know chances are slim now EV said those things yesterday.
If EV and the Earthlings come to the EU I will go see them because I love Ed and I love Glen Hansard as well. But would rather see PJ.

I have been to 5 DM shows and have yet to hear Stevie. I have heard the heck out of Wreakage though. 🤷‍♂️
