In the interview they indirectly talked about why they limit their touring. It’s still fun for them to get together and play and they want to keep it that way. If they did more dates, and played more one-night stands which means more travel, more bus time, etc, they would get tired of it. These short tours, and actually getting to spend some time in each city (look at how many pics have popped up of them out on the town this tour) is prolonging their touring life. Yes it sucks for those of us in areas where they haven’t played in over a decade, but it’s better than the alternative of them calling it quits.0

Someone here said "Dark Matter has legs" and I believe it.
You could be on to something. If not with the tour in general, at least the location. If the Hard Rock didn't come through, maybe the tour is at another region of the world.
I also don't think they wanted to sit around for a year and work on the new album.Presidential Advice from President-Elect Mike McCready: "Are you getting something out of this all encompassing trip?"0 -

100 Pacer said:Hankj25 said:The fact that The Earthlings are supporting Ed at Ohana leads me to believe there is likely a short run of EV dates to be announced once the Pitt Shows are over. You typically wouldn’t pull that group together for just one show.
I’ve almost talked myself into the fact that 2026 will be South America and Europe only. Maybe a short fall US run in advance of the midterms, but I also wonder how much energy the guys have left in them to try and do politically timed concerts these days. We’ve had almost 50 shows in 13 months, that’s damn good. I got to 4 of them. Still not enough.
