Will we be getting a Klausen in Pitt???
Would be great to have a Klausen. In previous years we would have been guaranteed one each tour. Not the way things work nowadays though. There wasn’t one on the Euro tour (or the Aussie tour) last year -  first time in years

What did Ames say when you sent them the photo?
I had a really busy day yesterday so sent them photos etc. this morning.  They have always been great so I am sure they will work something out.  Ames also uses really thick tubes so this was extra lame.  I also live about 10 miles as the crow flies from their shop so it goes to show that distance has nothing to do with potential damage.

ISO Raleigh N2 Poster -- any idea when they'll hit Pendleton's website? or PJ's?
there's a thread on this somewhere. All his AP's were lost and he had to get more printed. He said it will be few more weeks until he gets them. You'll have an opportunity to get his AP and once he sells out of those the show edition will hit the 10C shop. Keep an eye here, Demetrios does a really good job keeping people aware and then look out for the psssst from Santos.

Great points you make. The 3" wide, .125" diameter wall tubes Ames uses are pretty much the best in the biz, for practical use at least. It almost seems like someone having a bad day used your tube as a baseball bat. Shame too, it appears your poster is the "Black Foil" variant.  Not that it helps but, the paper really isn't black foil - it's more like white paper with shiny, glossy ink. Hopefully, they held back some for replacements. Good luck to you!

I received a damaged poster from one of the Ames monthly archive sales. They made it right. Just send them an email with a couple of pics and they'll help you out.

People who rawdog posters at shows stress me the fuck out!
Guy beside me did this. And then the guy beside them spilled their drink all over the floor. Not even my poster but I was stressed for the poster being ruined.

I was at an outdoor Foo Fighters concert in Melbourne in 2023 and they didn't have poster tubes at the show and you were not able to bring a tube in. It started raining at the show, they were selling rain poncho's at the venue so I brought one and wrapped my poster up to keep it dry! There were lots of wet, soggy and ripped posters that night!
I witnessed a guy at a show In manchester (2009 Klausen Swan) buy the poster and immediately fold it about 16 times and try to squeeze it into his pocket. He didnt seem to be doing it for a laugh, just very matter of fact
    That seems crazy to me.
All the creases and bent edges.. what's the point of even buying one if your going to do that to it?
Like the Let's Play Two movie poster

Unfortunately doing this exact thing right now.
My FOIL Hollywood N1 arrived from AMES so damaged I can’t even get it out of the tube!
Whatever punctured this tube was HARD! And USPS just taped over it and sent it along.
    Awesome job.

They got right back to me and sent a return label.  Sounds like they hold a few prints back just in case this happens.  Fingers crossed that USPS can get it right next time.

Holy cow!  I thought mine was bad, yours is even worse.  Something needs to change at USPS.  They are a shipping company but don't seem too concerned about anything.  I know a decent amount of the system in the distribution centers is automated but if there are that many problems they need to fix things.  I have never had anything from DHL or Fedex damaged.  I get that they charge more $$ but I think it's worth the piece of mind knowing that you will receive your item in the condition it was packaged in.

When I ship poster tubes, I make fins on the outside using packing tape. I just figure that it's good to have something that might stop it from rolling away and under something else. Sucks that all these are getting crunched.

Stopped using USPS entirely for posters. Only UPS. Too many issues.

If anyone needs a Raleigh 1 poster and wants to trade it for a Pitt 1 poster, shoot me a DM.
