In the interview they indirectly talked about why they limit their touring. It’s still fun for them to get together and play and they want to keep it that way. If they did more dates, and played more one-night stands which means more travel, more bus time, etc, they would get tired of it. These short tours, and actually getting to spend some time in each city (look at how many pics have popped up of them out on the town this tour) is prolonging their touring life. Yes it sucks for those of us in areas where they haven’t played in over a decade, but it’s better than the alternative of them calling it quits.0

In the past 2 years, you could tell they were having fun with their shows in Missoula, Chicago/Wrigley, Ohana, and Nashville by just taking in the town. I'm happy they're able to be present, and enjoy themselves. A lesson we should all share :how_interesting:JD87070 said:In the interview they indirectly talked about why they limit their touring. My $0.02 is that they didn't necessarily want to tour this spring, but the Seminole Hard Rock made them an offer that was too good go pass up so they planned a mini-tour around it. Someone here said "Dark Matter has legs" and I believe it.
You could be on to something. If not with the tour in general, at least the location. If the Hard Rock didn't come through, maybe the tour is at another region of the world.
I also don't think they wanted to sit around for a year and work on the new album.Presidential Advice from President-Elect Mike McCready: "Are you getting something out of this all encompassing trip?"0 -

I'll go regardless of where he plays. He can play in the Worcester waste treatment facility and I'll be there!PJfanatic123 said:
Seen a lot of people say they’d pass. Which is fine, bit i think it should be changed to “ I think i’ll pass, unless he plays at Red Rocks”CantKeepmedown said:Weren’t Earthling tix like $250 a pop last time? Probably even more expensive this time around if they are still playing small rooms. Which I assume they will. Will be an easy pass unfortunately0 -

Hah, I’ll second that one! Took my son to that show (Philly 1), his first show. And taking him again this weekend to both Pittsburgh shows. Going to be a blast!HailHailVitalogy said:
I hear ya, but also these shows have been really good. Maybe Philly 1 was so good they thought they have to play in 2025 😆 They gotta be having fun in order to play Hold OnMerkin Baller said:

I remember folks with similar feelings when Ed went solo for the first time back in 2008.Merkin Baller said:

Wonder if Ed and/or Earthlings will hop on some Who tour dates, timeline kinda lines up0

Can't say the same about the Earthlings.

I would pay the $250 to see Ed solo in an intimate setting. Not with a supporting band. Not remotely comparable, IMO.2-feign-reluctance said:

Bummed there's a Sunday show in Vegas on Ohana weekend. I am suspicious we may see new members of the Earthlings Friday night. Neil? Roger? 🤔Father Hubbard said:Wonder if Ed and/or Earthlings will hop on some Who tour dates, timeline kinda lines up0 -
Is EV at Red Rocks a possibility?100 Pacer said:
You believe correctly.Hankj25 said:The fact that The Earthlings are supporting Ed at Ohana leads me to believe there is likely a short run of EV dates to be announced once the Pitt Shows are over. You typically wouldn’t pull that group together for just one show.
I’ve almost talked myself into the fact that 2026 will be South America and Europe only. Maybe a short fall US run in advance of the midterms, but I also wonder how much energy the guys have left in them to try and do politically timed concerts these days. We’ve had almost 50 shows in 13 months, that’s damn good. I got to 4 of them. Still not enough.

I had the same thought. I think I’m gonna take my dad to the Chicago Who show ‘cause I’m hoping that Ed shows up.😁Father Hubbard said:Wonder if Ed and/or Earthlings will hop on some Who tour dates, timeline kinda lines up0
