    The whooping cough vaccination rate for Washington state kindergartners in 2023-2024 was 90.2%, slightly below the U.S. rate of 92.3%.

    But in 4 counties, the rate for children ages 19-35 months was around 30%. In one county, it was below 12%.

    The difference is that there is no credible evidence for the lab-leak theory, aside from the coincidental location of a virology research institute in the same very large city where the outbreak was centered, while the weight of the evidence is consistent with zoonotic origin.

    I recently was referred to a neurologist who has to be the worst, must untrustworthy doctor I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. For one, he was very publicly fired from the University of Calgary, as the director of neuroscience or something, because he literally broke records for the number of research papers in which he misrepresented data. So there's that. Then he ran to clinical practice, which is horrifying. Anyway, long story short, he also revealed to me that he's a fucking covid anti-vaxxer. SMH. I told my GP i never want to see him again if it can be helped (unfortunately, he also happens to be the only doctor in the whole province who performs a specific test that I needed, and may need again. UGH).

    Every medication has a risk. Even cough medicine or aspirin. No one has ever disputed that. Ever. 

    Safe and effective means generally, but every time you get a vax, you fill out forms detailing the risk factors. 

    Now, if you can show actual evidence (not YouTube videos of someone claiming it) that the clinical trials willfully omitted clear evidence of a pattern of these more severe injuries, we’ll have something to discuss.
