  • GUTTED. FNM is a bucket lister for me. DAMMIT
Never say never, Patton might need another payday before all is said & done.
if they do, they ain't hittin' up The Peg, I can tell you that. haha. If they hit Toronto, I'm THERE.
Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer

I enjoyed this listen very much, except when he discussed the current status of FNM. He went on the record to say that Patton's willingness to book shows and tour w/ Bungle but not FNM was something he took personally. He didn't say it was over, but it doesn't sound like there's any sort of communication or interest from Patton on the matter, so I take that to mean there's not much chance of anything happening anytime soon (if ever).
Really sucks to hear that. Mike just isn’t one to do something his heart isn’t in I guess.
That darn last record left me hanging. Really enjoyed it and felt like a rebirth of sorts. Happy to have had that. Now I can still check out all the other fnm stuff I never did. Or nor.
Angeldust & King For A Day aren't just my favorite FNM albums, they're two of my favorite albums ever by anyone.

& Everything's Ruined is probably my favorite song ever, full stop.

I’m with you. So grateful for all the shows I saw on the reunion. They were in top form. Sol Invictis was the cherry on top
I was listening to From The Dead a few days ago.... man, if that's the last song on the last album they ever do, it's fitting.

Glad MP was able to keep it together and got help. Thank goodness. I hate to lose my childhood heroes by their own hands. Tough to see.

Cool new interview with Mike Patton

    https://youtu.be/EyGxEkR0LZU?si=FeCEwsvV8tfZkpFt

It looks likes FNM are pretty much over though :'(

KM: "I would even ask that for the Faith No More stuff. When you went back and put out stuff and did a little bit of touring, like, was closure anything about that moment in your life?“

MP: "I didn't really think so at the time, but yeah, maybe. And I think that we all kind of felt it, but it was unspoken. It's funny just, when you've been in a band or a musical situation for a period of time, you always in the back of your head, you're kind of thinking, "well, maybe this is it." And I don't mind that feeling. I don't see it as a sad thing. I see it as being being present and being able to really appreciate it while it's happening"

    “Do not postpone happiness”
    (Jeff Tweedy, Sydney 2007)

“Put yer good money on the sunrise”
    (Tim Rogers)

Yes. And what an album to end it. I still think they will come 'from out of nowhere' at some point. Imho MP likes to not be too predictable, famous or popular. We know he likes to push boundries. Guess that's also pretty darn cool. Enjoy the ride and what we get.

Hey. Could have been worse. I went to show on last tour with my friend who inspired me to go last minute. We were going to scalp tickets, old school, outside venue. Before I left, I decided to get a ticket from reseller online. Met my bud. He got a ticket off the street. I got in, his ticket was fake!
He told me to go in and we met after the show. Anyway...that's my fnm story.

And yes the show was delicious.

Not sure what my point is, but had to get this story out there. If I haven't already told it a few pages back... :pensive:

Pretty sure hfd you've seen your share of tasty shows anyway. You can watch a fnm show on YouTube from the comfort of your home.

yeah, I don't have many bucket list bands. FNM was one of them. So was Rage. Had tix 3 different times. twice cancelled due to covid, then from Zack's leg being broken. That was a goddamn heartbreaker.
