As if another January six from the left is going to win us any federal elections.
The next Jan. 6 won't be from the left.  It will be when MAGA realizes they've been conned.

There will not be a January 6th from the left.  To even say that expresses a huge misrepresentation of what happen on January 6, 2021, and misunderstanding of people who believe in Democracy and defend the Consitution.  That 1/6/21 event involved a large number of people who refused to acknowledge what has been proven over and over again: that their clown lost an election fair and square, so they pitched a hissy fit, attacked the capitol with the intent to hang some lawmakers, and assaulted Capitol police which, in come cases, lead to a few deaths.
This is not how defenders of Democracy behave.  That has been proven in these first months of the catastrophe that is unfolding before us.  Sore losers throw tantrums.  People who believe in Democracy dig in and work to defend the Constitution.  That kind of resistance is building, not the aimless, angry crowd behavior that was displayed on January 6th.

With the tariffs and elons cutting there is a possibility to reshape how the govt generates revenue and how the economy is shaped. He could institute a massive tax cut with funds generated by tariffs or the trade deals he is able to negotiate to reduce tariffs.

His change to the tax system would shift the tax burden more to the working class and turn the working class into factory workers. I’m not sure I heard the dems fight the fight this way. But I see a ton of energy wasted elsewhere by Dems lately.

i am against all of that but a massive tax cut announcement now would be like Lucy pulling the football from dem kickers yet again.

GREAT NEWS!  Oil is down to $61/barrel.  That's what happens when the market prices a recession.  So the glory days of $2 gas during the Pandemic are coming back!

    Winning!

Only about 1,000 off the lowest closing in the last year right now. Spectacular! Might get to dropping 2,000 just today or even %5 overall.

Would love to hear anyone defend this without using the term “short term pain”. What a mess. I was fully prepared for this, but it still sucks.

Okay this opinion piece is downright hilarious.  It's right in line with the 4d chess argument.  Let me just summarize this for you...

The plan was to drive the stock market down, with money flowing to treasury bonds.  That would in turn force the Fed to reduce interest rates which would then save us billions in interest payments on the debt.

No joke.  Of course the opinion writer didn't bother to address all of the lost tax revenue stemming from the market collapse, to achieve these rounding-error worthy savings in interest.  The reason he didn't is because 1. it's total bs and 2. he knows Fox readers are stupid.
