I havent been in Nashville for a while but the bars in Printers Alley were great esp Bourbon St bar which had live music and I really recommend it. Theres couple places to eat around there too. Im not sure on shopping areas thoughsymptomsfade said:Looking for an area to pub crawl (drink and eat) and some small, local shops for the wife. I second the visit to Third Man Records. Tickets can be tricky to get and they go on sale at weird times so check the website.
I took my son in ‘we, he’s a big Jack White fan. It’s a very unique tour. We lucked out and met the co-owner of TMR, Jack’s nephew, and the man who writes liner notes or the shows on Nugs, Ben Blackwell! He was very cool and had fun stories to tell.
The country music hall of fame is actually pretty cool too.0 -
has anyone done Peg Leg Porker?
Procrastinating with studying, and looking at things to do/places to eat.
Anyone wanna do moonshine tasting at Ole Smokey (6th and Peabody)?0 -

Bars and eating
Downtown Nashville where the craziness is-
Acme Feed and Seed- highly recommend. Good rooftop area to drink, view of the stadium and Nashville. 4 levels
Tootsies- one of oldest bars in Nashville- I’d go there for afternoon drink. Crowded at night
Then you can basically choose whatever other one on strip looks good. Very similar. Loud, beers, and music.
The gulch- I’d recommend this area for brunching and day boozing.
Eating spots
City House - great dinner and pizza spot- I’d recommend a reservation- about a 10 min Uber ride from hotel
Husk- walkable great food, sister restaurant of husk in Charleston. Good for brunch and dinner. Reservation recommended
Moto- Italian spot in gulch- excellent- reservation recommended
Milk and Honey- brunch spot
Biscuit Love- brunch spot
Brunch very popular with the ladies and men of Nashville- put name in and walk around, grab a Bloody Mary
Two bbq spots in town that are really good
Martins Bbq and Peg Leg Porker- lunch or dinner
Nashville hot chicken-Hattie B’s the original , princes hot chicken shack

I would avoid Tootsie's...warm beer, way too crowded (which is why they can't keep beer warm)
Robert's Western World and Second Fiddle are the two best bars in my opinion. Robert's being #1 for true country.
I do like to hang out at Kid Rock's only because the music is a bit heavier but it gets old and the beer is expensive.
Broadway Brewhouse has decent food. Otherwise hit the Assembly food hall...lots of options that are decentRemember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

You can still do the tasting, was there last year, tasting was good, stage and music were very good. Actually requested a Pearl Jam song and the guy played it was pretty cool.JeBurkhardt said:I wanted to do a tour of the Ole Smokey moonshine distillery, but they are sold out.0 -
No part of that sounded appealing to me, until I saw the $6.JeBurkhardt said:

And definitely try to see Kelly's Heroes band. One of the best guitar players I've ever seen.Post edited by Gern Blansten onRemember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

The price is the thing that got my attention. I haven’t had a fried bologna sandwich in a long time. We might give it a try.aisleseats said:
