I just kinda realized the big matchup between the UCLA and USC women was for the BIG TEN championship.

    ridiculous.

    slow sports night…

watching the big sky tourney from boise, ID. the court says “starch madness.” get it? idaho, potatoes, etc.

the real deal is right around the corner. can’t say there’s anyone I’m pulling for but plenty I’ll be rooting against….usually due to coaches I don’t like.
    And who are those coaches?

pretty deep field of teams at the top this year.
hmmmm….pitino, rick barnes, kelvin sampson, mark pope (and his successor at BYU). probably cal, too.
Good list.  Can’t argue with them other than Pope but I get why you dislike him.  I’d add Hurley, Todd  Golden, Chris Beard and Sean Miller
sean miller, for sure. where’d he end up?
    Miller is at Xaiver.

something about this field is kinda “meh” to me. maybe it’s all the SEC. maybe it’s because outside of cooper flagging, all the players are pretty much anonymous.

oh well. let’s get some upsets and make this thing interesting. unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be happy no matter who wins….it’s gonna be some school with lots of NIL $$$.

a combination of the Hill to Laettner pass just with more bounces on those who caught the pass before the shot was put up.

Surprisingly enough he’s the only one to win at two different schools. That is pretty shocking to me. You would have thought that someone else would have done it also.

i might do multiples on the espn brackets
Duke/Michigan St is who I have.
I will do my usual 6 or 7 brackets.
    It's always fun.

My final four are Duke, Mich. St., Clemson and St. John's

Cinderella teams: Drake, Akron and UC San Diego
My final four is Michigan State, Duke, Kentucky and St John's. With St. John's beating Kentucky for the title because as an alum of St. John's how can I not pick them when they're this good for the first time in 40 years.
If St. John’s were to win would Rick Pitino be the only head coach to win a championship with three different teams?
I'm pretty sure he would be.
Surprisingly enough he’s the only one to win at two different schools. That is pretty shocking to me. You would have thought that someone else would have done it also.
Roy Williams won a few at North Carolina but at Kansas he reached the final 4 four times and lost twice in the title game in 1991 to Duke and 2003 to Syracuse.

We do a bracket at work every year. I don't really follow college basketball, so my picks are probably random at best. My final 4 is Auburn, Florida, Purdue and Duke. I picked Duke to beat Florida in the championship game.

😂. Thanks for this. Haven’t had a good laugh in a while.

Texas with their 15 losses didn’t deserve to be there. Neither does Oklahoma at 6-12 in conference (TX also 6-12). Give these places to mid-major teams like George Mason or Boise State.
