    Trump repulses me for many reasons.  But the most personal is his stance on Ukraine.  He is wrong, disgusting and borderline evil for so many reasons on this topic.  I don't come here often because it's very painful to argue with people about something that is so important to me.  I know I will say something that will get me booted.  But today, he reached a new low, with the US voting against the resolution that blames Russia for starting the war.  Despicable.

    If you were alive during WWII would you have wanted the US to step in around say, February 1941 and tell all the European countries they needed to cede the land lost to Germany and agree to a "peace treaty"? Genuinely curious how you are discerning when it's ok for a country to invade another country unprovoked and for that country, and others, to defend against the invasion and land grab.
    Have you read the history of that region?  Look into 2014 Donbass war. Ukraine was literally bombing its own people that had a democratic election to become independent. Check out the Oliver Stone documentary Ukraine on Fire

    Two questions for you:

    1. Do you believe the Ukrainian citizens are against this war (think Kiev, Karkhiv, Dnipro, etc, not Donbas)  and would prefer to be a vassal state of Russia?  Or do you think they want to be independent, therefore they are fighting a war?  Remember the Russians have pushed well past Donbas and wanted Kiev.  So don't act like this is just about Donbas.  If it was, the Russians could have just fortified the east exactly like they did Crimea.  

    2. Why do you think that a region in a country can just vote to make themselves independent?  Would we allow that to happen?  Would Canada allow Quebec to break-away?  In what world do you live in where that could happen?  Yes Donbas is primarily Russian speaking, but that was because of the massive emigration over the past 30 years.  If they want to be Russian, go back to Russia.  Ukraine should not ever just let them secede, and then take up arms against Kiev.

    It's just amazing how you can think this way without drawing any comparatives to the rest of the West and how it/we would react to these very situations.  I might remind you that no...we would not let a region just secede.  Let me know if you need the exact situation where that was attempted.
