How’s the new Benjamin Booker album??
I’ve listened to it twice now and really dig it. I love that he stylistically changes with each album and does whatever he wants, not what people want him to do.

It’s taken me 20+ years of only having the cd, but I’ve finally added this record to my Lou Barlow collection

Finally picked up this beauty. The color/splatter version. Sounds great. The closest I’ll ever had gotten to experiencing Soundgarden live.

Giving someone those eight albums  (everyone is a winner!) alone is hugely generous!

This was the first tour that I saw the Who. They were my absolutely favorite band at that time. I remember camping out all night in line to get tickets. I had to lie to my parents that I was spending the night at a friend’s. I got caught in the lie but that is another story. While I didn’t see them at Shea Stadium the set list is virtually identical - so I am excited to have this memory from way back.

How cool!  There's nothing like having a good to great recording of a show you went to!  You were there!

This showed up from France today.  Nice used, very reasonable, French pressing of this classic album.  I had this when it came out and eventually let it go-- probably because it is such a romantic album and five or so years later I would be divorced and heart broken.  Well, it's well into another lifetime/wifetime, and hightime I added this back into the collection, and it's so good to hear this again now.

    Roxy Music – Avalon

    Label:

    EG – 2311 154, Polydor – 2311 154

    Format:

    Vinyl, LP, Album, Stereo

    Country:

    France

    Released:

    1982

    Genre:

    Electronic, Rock

    Style:

    Pop Rock, Synth-pop

I didn’t see them at Shea but the set list was the same so it is as close as I will get to having a memory from that tour. I went with my first serious boyfriend and I recently found out that he passed away. I hadn’t seen or talked to him in over 30 years - but I have fond memories of him including seeing the Who for my first time.

Sorry for the loss. It's odd when past loves go away. My buds old bf died too, and she never kept in touch. Just still an important part of the past. Life and death is weird. ❤️

Unlock those memories trapped in the music
