Wait, so you're saying he never had any intention of going through with it? That his threats are empty? That's a really curious stand to take in this situation. I think maybe you should re-think that argument.battle1 said:

I personally never believed him. But you do you, mrussel. The fact that anyone still believes a single word that comes out of his mouth is mind boggling honestly. But you all believe it, day in and day out.mrussel1 said:

Guys, its important to remember Battle doesn't like Donald Trump at all. But he also hates liberals more.

It doesn't matter if I believe him or you believe him. It matters if the market, equity traders and world leaders believe him. And they did. And so did all of the members of the GOP that defended on tv yesterday. I guess everyone is dumb, even those in his own party, except...you?battle1 said:

The reason I see it as plausible and that I don't think this is over, is that I believe he has a vision to eliminate the federal income tax. To do that, you have to have a tariff based economy. Now the economics don't work today like they did in 1890, but I don't think he has the patience to understand that. The very wealthy have had a dream of a flat tax for 30 years. The only thing better than a flat tax is no tax.0 -
so I guess we weren't supposed to believe trump when he said all the EO's he was going to sign, and then followed through on them?Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0

And none of his threats should be considered empty because if he gets called on one he will double down no matter how stupid it was. And the GOP lemmings will all back him up.mrussel1 said:

Thats where we differ, among many other areas. I take all of his threats as empty until it actually happens. I cannot fathom why anyone would do otherwise.Gern Blansten said:
