So Hegseth, Vance, Duffy and trump all got up and went off on DEI. Why? What would cause them to focus on that after a tragedy?

It doesn't make sense. And, as I said above, trump even basically blamed the helicopter pilot (which is likely where initial investigation put it)...why push the DEI garbage?

I'm ashamed to have forgotten how stupid his first admin was....we are in for a giant pile of steaming nuclear shit
Because the “other” is the root of all your problems and concerns. The “other” crashes the airplane you fly on. The “other” is the reason your kid doesn’t get educated or get into college or get a job. The “other” is the one who robs or murders you. The “other” is the reason that natural disasters happened because they don’t go to the same church or pray to the same god. The “other” is the reason you can’t find an affordable place to buy or rent. The “other” is why food costs so much because they eat and get paid too much. ALL of your problems and fears are because of the “OTHER!”
My take is that they have already been able to thwart DEI on the federal level with the ridiculous EO, but that's not good enough. They want private business and other areas of work around the country to continue to feel pressured to end their initiatives as well. Look at what is happening with CostCo, who almost unanimously voted to keep their DEI initiatives. You have these feckless asshats like Ken Paxton and his gang of republican AGs trying to pressure a private business to drop DEI. Thus Trump and his team will keep fanning the flames to keep the public invested. It's only about winning the culture war and pushing their BS narrative that DEI = unqualified minority hiring. Meanwhile, he is nominating the least qualified people to all levels of his cabinet, but that's just cronyism, which is ok.
Like they are trying to convince magats that it's DEI regardless of what the actual problem was/is....and again...the stupid fucker gave it away by already blaming the heli-pilot

I've been reading for years how badly the FAA is understaffed with air traffic controllers and a tragedy like this felt inevitable.  This is a government failure across the board regardless of party.  Incredibly sad.

Trump blaming DEI for this is simply more trolling behavior.  Impeachment can't happen too soon.

Don't worry guys. A couple of reality tv show stars are gonna get to the bottom of it.

out of his depth. watched that presser at reagan this morning. dude has a LOT to learn.
But he was a host on Fox. He can do anything. Plus his wife is on Fox. And they both were on the The Real World.

That is MORE THAN ENOUGH tv experience to handle a crisis like this.

It's not hard to figure out their MO. If it is something good, Trump made it happen, if it's not, Trump is fixing it, but it's Biden/Obama/Dems fault. This is the headline, day after day after day for 4 years....
