Good one.....Oof.brianlux said:mickeyrat said:brianlux said:Like many people, a good friend of mine has become hugely concerned about the dictator's and his co-agent of chaos's actions this last week, to the point of being freaked out and hugely stressed. I will be getting together with her soon, and I have been thinking about what to say to encourage her. My thoughts include gently reminding her that she is not amongst the most vulnerable (although being a woman, she is automatically targeted to a degree more than I am). I also want to point out to her that the MAGA m.o. is to to frighten, intimidate, bully, and in whatever manner possible, render their opposition as powerless as possible. I want to encourage her to be strong and resilient and do whatever she can to resist without putting herself in more harm's way, and to not fall for the bating. These are the things we need to do. Cowering and being frightened are what they want. Those feelings are natural, of course, but this is a time to stand up and be strong, not to cave in and give up.two words for her to repeat as a mantra to all those that follow that fucking guy.FUCK YOU.say it as calm and gentle as she likes. or out loud and proud. whatever suits, but fuck you is the words of the days for the next 1475 days....Or as a Kurt Vonnegut once wrote in Slaughterhouse Five:"Go take a flying fuck at a rolling doughnut," murmured Paul Lazzaro in his azure nest. "Go take a flying fuck at the moon."0 -

They get nothing done at all and slam wars down our throats, want us filled with Red dye #3 and injected with mRNA just to feed their BIG Pharma wallets. The country would look like California in 4 years. Praise Jesus!!!

Bacon went way up in price (an increase of $1.50 for a side of bacon, 3 slices)
I was promised by this administration that the prices of these exact things would be coming down. Yet just the opposite has happened. Are you saying I was lied to by Trump and Vance?

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA's) price outlook, egg prices are predicted to increase about 20% in 2025, compared to about 2.2% for overall food prices. The USDA attributed the rise in egg costs to the highly pathogenic avian influenza, or bird flu, outbreak, which has caused a strain in supply. The price hike is not sudden, as eggs cost 36.8% more in December 2024 than in December 2023, but were still below peak prices from January 2023, according to the USDA. The outlook says retail egg prices climbed 8.4% in December 2024 and continued to experience volatile month-to-month changes.

she would be referring to the complete utter takeover of governement without the ovens.similarities with specific differences aside.if you have not toured the Holocaust museum in DC, I suggest you do so. The speed with which that regime became what it was is mindboggling.I cant get a big enough laugh out of “undeniably similar… once we remove all the specific differences”. Im literally shaking my head still. No, i don't recall GWB ever supposedly being Hitler at all. There were no similarities there at all, and that wasn't a thing. The reason the comparison is made with Trump is because it's real. The undeniably similar things i am talking about are Trump's political methods and decision-making. For example, the way he couldn't care less about the morality or intelligence or even capability, really, of the people he surrounds himself with, as long as they are stupidly loyal and serve his purposes, until they don't, at which time he ruthlessly discards them. And the way he uses race and "the other" to fortify the support and fervor of his followers. And the way he uses propaganda (the Nazi party had its own newspaper in the early years and movies in the later ones - MAGA has Truth Social and Fox News and a bunch of insane filmmakers creating propaganda and evangelical films for Tubi). And the way he eliminates all oversight (i.e. firing all the inspectors generals, etc). And the way he openly places himself as the de facto decision-maker and leader, without any care for how government is actually supposed to work in order to prevent exactly that. And the way he is eying other nations as though he has a right to them and their resources. And the way he is cool with changing laws to allow terrifying raids in communities and schools and churches to round up people. And the way he villifies his "enemies" like political opponents (and traditional allies, internationally), to the point that he threatens their safety and freedom..... and so on.So yeah. Undeniably similar, despite the obvious differences, such as the fact that Hitler was actually a great orator, while Trump is barely coherent half the time. And the fact that Trump.probably can't get away with just having his opponents shot, or opening actual concentration camps. At least not yet. And then just all the obvious differences that simply come with our current times and the state of the global economy. But honestly, I feel like you were just being obtuse.Post edited by PJ_Soul onWith all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Common sense has left the democrats as well as humor. The left used to be where most of the funny came from. But the left canceled them all. So now there is no funny left for the Democrats. My oh my things have changed. Great to see how the country rejected the Lefts propaganda. Love it and you will all thank the people that voted him in later.Bentleyspop said:

If birds don’t exist, then bird flu must be made up too. Unless they (government, or maybe CHY-na) were able to figure out a way for the feathered, pooping drones to carry and spread bird flu.On the other hand, if birds ARE real…then bird flu is real, we should be installing windmills at a record pace to deal with such a problem. You know…cuz windmills kill all the birds.Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0

Well if you want to just acknowledge that the prices are increasing now when they have been the past for years then I will give you a mulligan because you have been fed propaganda for many years and will have to adjust. Next....Poncier said:
