Josh ShapiroI cannot believe Mike Pence broke tradition and did not offer Harris a tour of of the VP residence at the Naval Observatory four years ago.
Sad but true, per Sheck's copied and pasted "article."www.myspace.com0 -

lol...you don't think the secret service has all that shit figured out?shecky said:Obviously, you are not recognizing the selfishness of Harris' refusal to respond to the Vance's concerns regarding their soon-to-be home.
The Vances have three very young children - aged 7, 4 and 2 years old and of course have many safety-related concerns.
For example:
There is an outdoors swimming pool at the V.P.'s residence - is there a fence and gate around the pool?
The house is two-story - is there a child-proof gate at the top of the stairs?
I'm sure the Vances have other safety concerns as well, and they needed time to identify and address these concerns so that alterations to the living quarters could've been requested and completed before their move-n date.
This was not just about "carrying on a tradition".

Josh ShapiroPerhaps if Vance's predecessor was not almost killed by Trump's supporters 4 years ago, Vance might've reached out to him to learn he snubbed Harris first and set this unfortunate precedent. But likely out of fear of Trump unleashing supporters on him as well, Vance kept his distance from Pence.

Elections have always been about trashing the other candidate. If that is your justification, then you would be defending trump for not attending the inauguration, etc.Merkin Baller said:Harris didn't invite the man who called her trash and questioned her race into her home.
Boo fucking hoo.
But when I first heard the story, my first question was "is that even a normal thing?" There doesn't;t seem to be a long custom of inviting the future VP. I didn't even know where the VP house was until I heard this story, Its for those reasons I don't think its a big deal. As mentioned, all safety concerns will be taken care of for them.0 -

Yeah. Not a custom at all. Only instances I saw was Cheney doing it for Biden and Biden doing it for Pence.mace1229 said:

This is an example of right wing manufactured outrage... pushed diligently here by our own maga, sheck.

Your counter argument of defending Trump for the inauguration no show doesn't even make sense. Did anyone question if Trump is white or attained his employment through acts of sex? How about, did Harris ever start a stop the steal conspiracy, incite her supporters and storm the Capitol to stop democracy? Of course not. Quit trying to make ridiculous comparisons. Trump is a putrid person with no ethics and values and who has never shown remorse or regret for anything he's done. He's garbage.mace1229 said:

How does this compare to trump not attending Biden's inauguration?mace1229 said:

I'll answer for you: it doesn't. You're grasping at straws.
We're in agreement, this is no big deal. The manufactured outrage from the right is just that.0 -
Obviously you’re not recognizing that no one gives a fuck about this except the MAGA cult! How will the messiah bring down the price of eggs $8 a dozen that’s what most folks care about!shecky said:Obviously, you are not recognizing the selfishness of Harris' refusal to respond to the Vance's concerns regarding their soon-to-be home.
