first PJ song you ever heard?

I was only in like 3rd grade or something like that, but because my name is Jeremy so older chick at school was like "oh that's so cool that you're connected to Pearl Jam like that". Weeks later I heard the song somewhere. Took a long hiatus, only hearing your random PJ songs on the radio. In '98 I bought Yield on Mini Disc while in Canada. Didn't actually get into them hardcore until early last year. Never looked back since.

I was hanging out at a friend's house when I was 15 and we were talking about Nirvana and he asked me if I liked Pearl Jam. I had heard OF them but had never heard them and he put Even Flow on. Right there Pearl Jam sunk their claws in me and never let go.

  • The first pj song I heard was Jeremy. There was this guy who I had a thing for and he played it for me. After that I was hooked. I eventually stopped liking the guy but my love for pearl jam grew and grew. Guys will come and go but PJ will always have a place in my heart.

Breakerfall, when i bought Binaural ...

i was 17 then and didn't know about Pearl Jam at that time ... i am from Macedonia and here it's hard to hear music that is not popular, hard to surface to people except if you dig everywhere like i do ... i was searching through internet and found about this band Pearl Jam, kinda good things i read and was curious enough to buy something off of them , bought Binaural and i liked it ... i didn't expeted anything while i was listening to it and i liked it really ... there was something interesting in these songs , something unique in this band's sound ...

the only thing i knew about Pearl Jam was that Eddie Vedders voice is almost the same as S.Stapp's(and i heard of Creed at that time considering it was time when they had that single With Arms Wide Open and were on all the charts) and when i heard Eddie for the first time i said to myself 'True, sounds like the singer from Creed' ...

that was the time when i started exploring this band and i am hooked by it and can't get enough of it still ...

    :-)

my second album was Yield, then Vitalogy, then Ten, then No Code, then Riot Act, Vs. was the last one for me , it was a great trip i must add ...

I think it was Hungerstrike, but it may of been Jeremy. Whichever came out first is the one I heard first. Jeremy is the first only Pearl Jam song I heard, but as far as hearing Eddie, it may have been hungerstrike. I remember hearing Hungerstrike when it first came out on the radio in Huntsville Alabama. They played it everyday at 12 when i was at work.

Then, I remember asking my ex, Is that two differant people singing in that song? He said, Yes its Eddie Vedder and Chris Cornell. He also bought the Ten cd, and after I saw the Jeremy Video, I was hooked from then until today.

    GO!!

I was 13 and it was my sisters 16th birthday. She always loved music and i usually buy her cd's when i want to give her a gift or something.

In the week before, she gave me a list with some cd's and i would have to pick. I remember her saying she would like to try some heavier music (she used to listen to Bon Jovi and juvenile bands...).At the time, i have never heard a PJ song and that sheep in the Vs. booklet just looked funny...:)

I bought it, went home and before she arrived, i put in my discman. I was blown away...:)

Black at the age where i knew every radio song by heart, heard pj and never looked back.

I guess I was 11. I can remember the whole first run of Ten clearly. 92 I guess it was.
