Are you hoping America is better four years from now?

I hope America's in a better place in 4 years... it's hard to have confidence that it will be, but it's my home and I love it so yeah... I want the best for it and us as a whole.
I would rather be wrong about the incoming administration than be able to say I told you so.0 -

But, it doesn't take much perusing of these forums to see that the vast majority of posters here want to see President Trump crash and burn.
Their insults are so vile and their comments so unhinged, it makes one wonder what is going on in these people's private lives that make them wake up each day so full of hate and vitriol.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, this crowd hates Trump more than they love America. In theory I'm hoping so but it's not even possible barring an enormous 180-degree turn in the ruling party, which is pretty much the embodiment of catturd.
So I hope President-elect Trump and co-president-un-elect Musk fail at trying to get richer while ending social security, firing 1 million people, eliminating vaccines, establishing a theocracy, and all the harebrained and mean-spirited shit they wish to pull. To be clear is it only one ideological side "posts about how awful America is on these forums" or both sides*?
*obviously ideologies are a spectrum and it would be wrong to to take fringe beliefs or stances and paint them broadly across a large swath of the political spectrum, but for sake of a more direct discussion lets assume the general "both sides"Post edited by Tim Simmons on0 -
personally I think its a lazy take to say people hate America when in reality its pretty common for people who willingly reside here, pay taxes and vote here, and contribute to society here, want to see the image of the country reflect their tastes, interests or Points of View. And its not just lazy but odd to think that just because its different than your POV they must HATE things.

A troll with a fake air of superiority is still a troll. No one here hates america. And yet these magats attached themselves to a slogan implying America currently sucks.By The Time They Figure Out What Went Wrong, We'll Be Sitting On A Beach, Earning Twenty Percent.0

More off-topic name calling by the canadian guy, who just so happens to hate America. I mention that in the spirit of staying on topic.0

It's also a bit odd that anyone would keep coming back over and over to post on a forum they have major issues with. It would be like if you or I posted regularly on a pro-Trump forum and expected the MAGA folks there to agree with us or change their mind about any of the things they talk about. Personally, I would find that a waste of time. But hey, it's not my dime and they are certainly within their rights to use their time to post here.
