Are you hoping America is better four years from now?

Curious if people hope for Trump and cabinet are a success and makes America better or prefer to post why they aren’t and want to say I told you so?

I am quite confident America will be better off four years from now. That's why I donated to President Trump's campaign and voted for him.
But, it doesn't take much perusing of these forums to see that the vast majority of posters here want to see President Trump crash and burn.
Their insults are so vile and their comments so unhinged, it makes one wonder what is going on in these people's private lives that make them wake up each day so full of hate and vitriol.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, this crowd hates Trump more than they love America. And, they do not want to see him succeed.

And yet, you can’t or won’t list by what measure will indicate how you, or we, are better off in four years. In other words, throw your marker(s) down.

I want the US to be better off in four years but I have absolutely no confidence, none, that the repubs in Congress and the incoming administration have the ability, moral compass or background intelligence to do so. There are way too many morally bankrupt individuals in positions of power and making ideological driven decisions. POOTWH and those that gave him money and voted for him broke our government. It’s going to take a generation or a catastrophic event to recover.

There is nothing to like about POOTWH as a human being. Nothing.

Always hopeful America is better off in 4 years than now.

Am I optimistic it will be, No, I’m not.

I’m hoping Trump works out to better everyone’s lives. But I’ve also seen 4 years of him already, the people he surrounds himself with and his general persona and it doesn’t fill me with a lot of confidence. We can break down all his personal qualities that I think are a detriment to his decision making skills, but it’s probably a rehash.

I do think American is the best country in the world, but also we have lots of room for improvement.

I think the only people hoping Americans will NOT be better in four years are The Felon and Ambassador Chaos, along with a few other billionaires, because when Americans are poorer, they are wealthier.
Of course, I hope I am wrong, but I also hope global warning reverses, I win the lottery, stay healthy until I am 120 years old, and some day become as a good a guitar player as Jimi Hendrix and Mike McCready combined.
In other words, barring a major miracle, I have strong doubts.

He is a giant piece of shit and is going cause more messed up shit....that half of the people want to happen.

That stated, of course I hope we are better off in 4 years.  I always hope for things to get better.  Want people to have better lives.

This does include all people.  Brown people, yellow people, black people, red people, white people.
People who want to smash their own sex people.  People who want to change their sex.  People who don't want to be a sex.
People who are poor.  People who are less poor.  People who are comfortable.   People who are rich.
The ultra rich, multi billionaires?  Don't worry about them, they are untouchable.

I think the 50% who voted for this garbage human being don't care about all people being better.

For the most part we are pretty hard to fuck up. The economy will always move forward for the most part. Unfortunately the lower/middle class doesn't always benefit from that but the upper class (which has expanded greatly) have nothing to worry about.

And again...trump won because of the lower/middle class which makes no sense. The GOP is NOT the party of the working class.

So I guess when you say "are you hoping we are better off four years from now?" the answer is difficult because we are definitely better off now than four years ago yet things got upended on Biden/Democrats.

You’d have to be a psycho to want
him to fail. Cuz that means we all fail. Our concern of him being president is that he’s more likely to fail than anyone else.

A successful Trump administration and a better America are not aligned. Mass deportations, tax cuts for the rich, tariffs, cutting Social Security and Medicaid, etc. would be wins for his administration but certainly will not make America better. For America to be successful, his administration needs to fail.

good point...I was listening to a clip of Chip Roy on my way to work this morning. He was going off on the GOP for allowing the out of control spending and now trump is calling for an end to the debt ceiling (at least until 2029 so that trump doesn't have to deal with it during his term...as tweeted by trump). I honestly think it should be gone because it's stupid as hell when you vote for the spending but them fight over whether or not we will allow debt to pay for it.

The lead in to his second term is bad...it's smells like bullshit and is a fucked up mess. The left is now manipulating trump by putting Musk on a pedestal which is hilarious.

I hope America's in a better place in 4 years... it's hard to have confidence that it will be, but it's my home and I love it so yeah... I want the best for it and us as a whole.

I would rather be wrong about the incoming administration than be able to say I told you so.

When I speak in terms of him being successful, I’m talking about him doing a good job, as in, being a good president, which is what I assume the OP meant. I think it’s pretty clear Trump’s idea of success is enrichment of himself, as you pointed out.

In theory I'm hoping so but it's not even possible barring an enormous 180-degree turn in the ruling party, which is pretty much the embodiment of catturd.

So I hope President-elect Trump and co-president-un-elect Musk fail at trying to get richer while ending social security, firing 1 million people, eliminating vaccines, establishing a theocracy, and all the harebrained and mean-spirited shit they wish to pull. Only through their failure can we actually succeed.

Not a chance..Some of the lifers have stated they don’t even talk to FAMILY members anymore cause they still love America and want to fix the mess the demmies are leaving behind.  Can you even imagine that kind of brain rot over stupid politics?

    What reality y’all live in?

Unemployment and inflation is low, and economic growth and stock market is high. Poor people in a poor country can’t afford months long winter getaways to tropical islands.
And Trump is 16 million dollars richer thanks to George Snuffaluffagus and the fine folks at Disney/ABC. Another hit and run brought to you by, well, me of course. Back to work.........
actually that money is supposed to go to a trump library/museum but you're right...he'll probably steal it and enrich himself like he did with his foundation and trump University

Curious if people hope for Trump and cabinet are a success and makes America better or prefer to post why they aren’t and want to say I told you so?
Great question, I think your answer is right here in these forums unfortunately.  They hate America, its plain and simple.  Take the responses for example.  Couldn't muster up more than one sentence to support how they hope America is better in 4 years.  But you can find literally 10s of thousands of posts about how awful America is on these forums. This is an all ages, its-cool-to-be anti-American forum.  Pretty disgusting, really.
