Curious if people hope for Trump and cabinet are a success and makes America better or prefer to post why they aren’t and want to say I told you so?
Great question, I think your answer is right here in these forums unfortunately. They hate America, its plain and simple. Take the responses for example. Couldn't muster up more than one sentence to support how they hope America is better in 4 years. But you can find literally 10s of thousands of posts about how awful America is on these forums. This is an all ages, its-cool-to-be anti-American forum. Pretty disgusting, really.
you know, one take of the 1st amendment in our beloved Constitution, is not only is it ok to criticize our government and by extension the country, is that its kinda expected and needed, as if its a civic duty, to push the country to a "more perfect union" as someone once said.

Thats "one take", alright. Thanks for contributing.
To be clear is it only one ideological side "posts about how awful America is on these forums" or both sides*?
*obviously ideologies are a spectrum and it would be wrong to to take fringe beliefs or stances and paint them broadly across a large swath of the political spectrum, but for sake of a more direct discussion lets assume the general "both sides"
personally I think its a lazy take to say people hate America when in reality its pretty common for people who willingly reside here, pay taxes and vote here, and contribute to society here, want to see the image of the country reflect their tastes, interests or Points of View. And its not just lazy but odd to think that just because its different than your POV they must HATE things.

That is absolutely true in a democracy, M. Only problem is, we no longer live in a democratic nation which is why MAGAs do not want you or I or anyone else to speak out in criticism of our government. It's also a bit odd that anyone would keep coming back over and over to post on a forum they have major issues with. It would be like if you or I posted regularly on a pro-Trump forum and expected the MAGA folks there to agree with us or change their mind about any of the things they talk about. Personally, I would find that a waste of time. But hey, it's not my dime and they are certainly within their rights to use their time to post here.

Go back and reread the thread title. Then try to comprehend it. Then when you do, go back and reread the responses. Reading comprehension is fundamental, particularly in a democracy.

When you don't want to debate on the merits of your positions, its easier to just throw up your hands and say, well they hate America. Othering people is the best way to amass a team behind your ideals also, its distracts from the real issues.
I am quite confident America will be better off four years from now. That's why I donated to President Trump's campaign and voted for him. But, it doesn't take much perusing of these forums to see that the vast majority of posters here want to see President Trump crash and burn. Their insults are so vile and their comments so unhinged, it makes one wonder what is going on in these people's private lives that make them wake up each day so full of hate and vitriol. I've said it before and I'll say it again, this crowd hates Trump more than they love America. And, they do not want to see him succeed.
Not a chance..Some of the lifers have stated they don’t even talk to FAMILY members anymore cause they still love America and want to fix the mess the demmies are leaving behind. Can you even imagine that kind of brain rot over stupid politics?
What reality y’all live in?
Unemployment and inflation is low, and economic growth and stock market is high. Poor people in a poor country can’t afford months long winter getaways to tropical islands.
And Trump is 16 million dollars richer thanks to George Snuffaluffagus and the fine folks at Disney/ABC. Another hit and run brought to you by, well, me of course. Back to work.........

President-elect Donald Trump hailed Sunday as "the 7th Anniversary of the Trump Tax Cuts becoming Law," vowing to "deliver the largest tax cuts in the history of our country" by this date next year.
"Today is the 7th Anniversary of the Trump Tax Cuts becoming Law," Trump wrote in a Sunday morning Truth Social post before he was slated to speak at a salute to Arizona gathering for Turning Point Action, which will air live and in its entirety on Newsmax, starting at 12:30 p.m. ET. "'Happy Birthday!'
"Next year, we will deliver the largest Tax Cuts in the History of our Country," he added. "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
Many of the provisions of the Tax Cut and Jobs Act signed by Trump in 2017 are scheduled to expire at the end of 2025. This means that more than $4 trillion in tax increases will take effect Jan. 1, 2026, charging next year's Congress and administration with the hefty task of grappling with the tax hikes.
Meanwhile, many of the provisions impacting businesses, including pass-through entities, are set to expire between 2025 and 2028.
The expiration of the cuts has the markets sinking as Congress is speaking out against extending the Trump tax cuts next year, according to Americans for Tax Reform's Grover Norquist on Newsmax.
"I think one of the dangers that people are looking at is that the tax cut may be delayed; it may get stopped," Norquist told Sunday's "Wake Up America Weekend." "We're one bad car accident away from having Democrat control of the House of Representatives, which means a $4 trillion tax increase. That's a lot of uncertainty."

@indifference want to ask about the question as posed in the title .
better as compared to what? as in , whats your estimation of the starting point to base this question on? where do you see us now compared to 4 years ago. end of terms . set covid aside.

And yet, you can’t or won’t list by what measure will indicate how you, or we, are better off in four years. In other words, throw your marker(s) down.
I want the US to be better off in four years but I have absolutely no confidence, none, that the repubs in Congress and the incoming administration have the ability, moral compass or background intelligence to do so. There are way too many morally bankrupt individuals in positions of power and making ideological driven decisions. POOTWH and those that gave him money and voted for him broke our government. It’s going to take a generation or a catastrophic event to recover.
There is nothing to like about POOTWH as a human being. Nothing.
It wouldn’t matter if Shecky listed 100 reasons for you would continue to try and attack and shame. You’re a committed leftist who wants to see America destroyed and replaced by some sort of communist corporate oligarchy. Plus I believe you aren’t even a citizen so sit this one out.
