As a giant man, it's a little dicey when there's a woman trying to squeeze through. Not a good look getting "a little physical" with a tiny woman.BF25394 said:
Advice to all who are physically able (and recognizing that some of us are bigger than others): stand your ground. These people are counting on not meeting resistance. Usually it's enough to just hold your ground. Sometimes, you have to bare some fangs and get a little physical. If you see a smaller person getting pushed around near you, step up on their behalf. In my experience, these people give up when they get pushed back with intent.Douglas12373 said:TBH I think the roll in at lights and shove your way to the front is far worse than any things the regular rail riders do. The number of people trying to bully their way to the front at Ohana was absolutely ridiculous. We stood our ground and thankfully, when tempers flared a bit, people around us helped push back a couple jackasses trying to push their way towards the barrier.Go Animal said:

STAAAACYYYYY!🤣
Me and 2 other guys started calling for "Stacy" to come meet them, but to no avail. They mysteriously gave up on "Stacy" without a HINT of urgency. They just stood next to us for the remainder of the set.
I guess they weren't that close with "Stacy" 😉0 -

At GA shows in general, that’s probably why I’ve seen more woman on woman near combat situations than man to woman.SHZA said:

I've only had one time when a woman tried to do this, and she actually got past me because I thought she was returning to her spot at the front from the bathroom. I asked her, "Were you up there already?" She was too honest. She said, "I just want to be closer." I said, "That's not how this works," and gently sent her backwards. The other people she had pushed past behind me gave me a round of applause. This woman was not that tiny (and was also quite drunk).SHZA said:

Anyway, I'm talking about the people-- in my experience, exclusively male-- who just try to bully their way forward with brute force. They shall not pass. As the song says, "Don't mean to push, but I'm being shoved." Shove me, and I will respond in kind, and these dudes are usually not prepared for it because they're expecting no resistance.I gather speed from you fucking with me.0 -
I saw that in Seattle 1 & 2, Philly 1 & 2 & Baltimore this year. Many had tents in GA while they also had chairs in the first 20 or so in the early merch line. Every hour or so going to and fro the merch line & GA line. There is also a certain few who were on that rail that were also hanging out at the pre parties during the afternoon. This one dude even organized the event! Not kidding. How he was there for 4+ hours at the party and later that night secured a spot in front between Jeff & Ed, is messed up!Gibson said:

I think this who thread is a mis-information ploy by the rail elites. They argue back and forth and it discourages others from even attempting to line up early because they think it will be too much of a hassle. Well done, elites. Well done.0
