I said earlier that I spend a lot of time outdoors.
Breathing the fresh air and seeing the mountains on a daily basis makes all the bullshit and shitheads who support the bullshit seem inconsequential.
Yesterday I got to see some great sights...

I’m jealous but I can only do short outdoors activities at the moment. Caring for my father until after thanksgiving weekend when he will go back to live at my brothers house! next month I’ll be heading up to Vermont to look at houses I’m planning on selling my home here on Long Island and taking half of the $$ to purchase a house or cabin up there and the other half buying a house down in Chile lake region!

Agreed. If he wasn't gay, he would be the obvious choice for the DNC to rally behind.

That would be great! Do you really believe him being gay is the sticking point even amongst his own party, I haven’t heard him say anything that would make me do a double look! He’s always on point

Honestly, I do. That's quite pessimistic of me, but traditional masculinity seem to read more as 'strength' these days. It's a damn shame, because when I watched him do his round table with undecided voters pre-election, he was exceptional. I'd love to be proven wrong.

unless its about his family structure being taken away or similar he mentions family life that feels relatable with 2 young children and the odd offhand way one would mention a spouse. I dont see the issue personally.

I agree that's quite a pessimistic take as well, Ben.  In fact, in a proper primary I believe Pete would have shined bright.  We may even be talking about President Pete right now, but we'll never know.  But America is all good, Ben.

Pretty sure the right could and would effectively weaponize it pretty easily (something something dissolution of family values, or something something 'masculinity', or something something 'strength'). They have weaponized more egregious things.

Take a day off from here and contemplate what you can do in the coming years to restore the freedom and democracy that is about to be snatched from our hands.  We can't stop what has happened.  We can only go forward.

I don't watch TV news, besides weather abd traffic. I haven't for some years now.
That’s what I’m doing! I’ll come here check in on the MAGA contingency to see what crap they believe their savior will do for them!

I still read the news to some extent because I don't want to be ignorant about what is happening in the world, but I find that TV news/video has a much stronger effect on mental health and emotions than print news, which is why I now avoid it altogether, especially when it comes to Trump doing or saying anything. I can't tolerate his face or voice, so I avoid it completely so that I have less irritation in my life. Same goes for the talking heads on the TV who defend Trump or spread his propaganda. I can't watch that, or listen to people try to debate with them without feeling too angry and frustrated. Same goes for pretty much all political coverage on the TV actually, in Canada too, including local politics. It's just too annoying to view anymore.
WOW! I couldn't have said it any better then you did for myself, as to where I am now.

You nailed it as far as I go with this Political shit.

But, I was alright the last 4 years and the previous 4 years so I won't lose any sleep.

Take @gimmesometruth27 for example.  They obsessed over Donald Trump just like josevoution, halifax Max, brianlux, and a few others on here.  But since election day has passed, gimesometruth27 has quietly retreated, possibly never to be seen again.  They literally took their ball, and went home.  Some of you should take notes.
You spend your entire time here looking down from your tower talking shit to and about other members. That’s called trolling. Keep it up and you can expect a consequence.

I won't even entertain your attempt to pick a fight.  I will reiterate, America is all good.  Sorry that bothers you. Be well, friend.
