They're waiting to pounce. Your use of the word "cope" in the subject line probably got some posters rubbing their hands together.

A good solid dose of Mother Nature always moves me forward and puts things into perspective.

Another thing that helps in moving forward is good health, and one of my favorite components of a good health regimen is Annabell's dark chocolate blueberry bark. Dark chocolate and blueberries- double the antioxidants!

And I almost forgot, about 10 minutes after the photo I took earlier today, my wife caught this beauty. For nature lovers here:

Have to try that bark and yes nature pictures are so beautiful! I wish I was 15 years younger I’d def move off the grid and away from as many humans as possible!

I usually just smoke a joint or hit my vape. This has worked well for me in stressful times.

I also find it calming to listen to a good Dead show, preferably one from the 72-74 era. I highly recommend.

I'm not a huge dead fan (although I do have and very much enjoy American Beauty and Working Man's Dead on LP), but I'm always impressed by how much the Grateful Dead fans I know benefit from that band's music. Hard core Dead fans are super loyal in a cool way.
I get the same satisfaction from my favorite bands. The focus for me changes from one band or artist from time to time. Lee Ranaldo's music is what's been helping keep me level lately, especially his work with Lee Ranaldo and the Dust. It thrills and chills me out right to the core.

I like some of Garcia's side project stuff a lot. It's amazing the places he showed up on over the years. Like this great number by Link Wray with Jerry on pedal steel guitar:

I'm here in WPB, FL and I'm 5 miles from the ocean. When times get rough I head to beach with my kites and music. I've a kite for whatever wind conditions I encounter. With those trips I bring my music played through my beat box.
Other times I'll go to concerts, I'll see just about anyone. For example I saw these guys last Sunday. These guys were over the top good like STICK FIGURE was back in August.
Sometimes a good book like the one I'm STILL reading about my father and his sound system. Way back in the day of the 50s, 60s and 70s. I just saw him two weeks ago in Jamaica 🇯🇲 and as he turns 96 at the end of this month. He gets around better than me.
Cut the news especially political news, practice my table 🏓 tennis, billards, watch my favorite tv show Ancient Aliens on the History Channel and play my favorite college card game spades. ALL these things in one way the other helps me get through the tough times.

Appreciate today, because tomorrow’s likely to be worse.
Good advice and wise words, B.
Another thought I have this morning is to stop wasting so much time arguing with strangers on the internet. Anyone who hasn't figured out what a mess were in for is either oblivious or in denial, and nothing I or anyone else can say here is going to change that. I'm getting more back into my writing and music, and getting ready for my soon to be 20th wedding anniversary. I'm staying aware, but at the same time trying to give more time to positives, what ones still remain.

Sometimes events happen that leave you no choice but to take action! Two weeks ago my 86 year old dad came down with a terrible cold my niece took him to urgent care he was prescribed an antibiotic & cough medicine! He proceeded to start drinking the cough medicine from the bottle so he was all out of sorts, vomiting dizzy and not good at all, so now my brother takes him to the emergency room because he’s complaining of pain in stomach and middle of his chest. Diagnosed with acid reflux and he actually burned his esophagus on top of having a terrible cough, so because he was alone he was not taking the correct dosage of cough medicine and Motrin! So me and my wife who’s a nurse decided when he gets discharged he’s coming home with me so he’s been here since last Saturday and he’s way better we manage all his medication and been monitoring he’s sugar levels he’s a type 1 diabetic! So this has my total attention having him here which is good to put things in perspective!

That's smart thinking. My wife says the same thing. Despite the fact that she keeps up on current event's and the like, she also keeps a good balance. She's better at all that than I am. I tell her, "You compartmentalize well!"

I don't watch TV news, besides weather abd traffic. I haven't for some years now.
That’s what I’m doing! I’ll come here check in on the MAGA contingency to see what crap they believe their savior will do for them!
I still read the news to some extent because I don't want to be ignorant about what is happening in the world, but I find that TV news/video has a much stronger effect on mental health and emotions than print news, which is why I now avoid it altogether, especially when it comes to Trump doing or saying anything. I can't tolerate his face or voice, so I avoid it completely so that I have less irritation in my life. Same goes for the talking heads on the TV who defend Trump or spread his propaganda. I can't watch that, or listen to people try to debate with them without feeling too angry and frustrated. Same goes for pretty much all political coverage on the TV actually, in Canada too, including local politics. It's just too annoying to view anymore.

That’s exactly my approach print news is much better for my mental health! Agreed the less I see of that face or hear that voice the better I feel it’s great!

Well, you certainly do spend quite a bit of your time posting messages about Donald Trump. Maybe you need to take your own advice and step away for your mental health? You and Brianlux both. All the best!
Take @gimmesometruth27 for example. They obsessed over Donald Trump just like josevoution, halifax Max, brianlux, and a few others on here. But since election day has passed, gimesometruth27 has quietly retreated, possibly never to be seen again. They literally took their ball, and went home. Some of you should take notes.
