    You know I usually do but that was brand new out of the box.  I will next time I go out.   
    By the way that was my leg lol.  My son wasn't looking when he casted; I was not happy.

    After catching a few in the fat of my hand, or in my fleece, you pinch them after. Easy peasy. Maybe a tetanus shot just to be safe LOL.

    This thread and the game fishing planet have inspired me to get a membership to the local consortium of lakes for a 6 month deal . 
    I'm making it a promise since being sober 5 months to do something worth while with the money I would have drank.

    Congrats! Stay strong. Fishing is a great way to just get outside. I have always found carp to be a nasty fish, but I know they are a popular gamefish in the UK.

    It's just a membership and it gets you on some lakes and rivers that are owned by the club. So it's more like a fishing club. £100 for 6 months and lots of places to try. Thanks mate

    That is not a huge fee for what should be private fisheries. Do they use the beat system for the rivers? I did some fly fishing in the UK out in the cotswolds in the early 2000s and it was beat fishing. You basically rent a portion of the river or lake. And a guide was required for the first day. Not cheap.

    I've never fly fished these are mainly carp. And other silver fish like roach and bream. Maybe some tench my favourite fish
