    Got this shit in Vegas 2000 and nearly pissed myself. There was still some serious wetness going on though, cried my eyes out. THen MSG?!?!?! HOLY SHIT!!!! SOOOOO GORGEOUS! Sooooo unbelievable. This song has a way of poppin up in magical. off the hook good vibe shows and making them that much more.

    Awww girls, you don't know how much I wanted to hear this song on the tour...this is one of my FAVORITE MLB songs and I heard the LV 2000 boot, and I had an urge to cry.

    Eddie does an OUTSTANDING job singing this song, that it brings a tear to my eyes hearing it over and over again on the MSG I. I turned to Joe and said, "OH MY FUCKIN' ShIT...they are playing Crown of Thorns aren't they? I can't believe" something to that extent. All I remember was that I wanted to hug Lydia and Kaddi, but you guys were out of my reach, since I had an injured leg (thanks to those damn chairs @ MSG) :(

    It is a great feeling hearing this song, and my co-host, Theresa, really digs both verisons, the PJ and MLB ones.:)

    You know...it's probably a good thing that I didn't hear it live...because I don't think I would have made it out alive. I would have died very happily right there. It's an amazing song...kudos to the boys for playing it.

    The song is pure magic in all it's forms... Andy's voice, Ed's voice, piano, full band, whatever form it comes in it is a song that is just spine-chillingly magical.

    Love it!!

    Can you imagine what it would be like for Stone and Jeff to play the song again? I mean to have Ed sing a song that Andy wrote and sang... to be playing any MLB song would just be weird to them I think. I wonder how they came to the decision to play it after all this time.

    One of the best songs ever written

    As I stood in amazement at MSG I upon hearing the first couple of notes, I turned to my girl and said that this was the pinnacle of my PJ show days. After that I could die happy never seeing them again. How could it get any better?

    Then I saw them play Hunger Strike the following Monday.....

    Crown was my favorite live song by them....ever...

    It also reminds me of when I was a teenager and me and my friend were hugely in to PJ and MLB. I remember one time my friend had a small party at her house, she was really drunk (I was the responsible sober one) and we were playing the Singles soundtrack. My friend started getting really sad (you know that sad drunk phase) and we heard Battle of Evermore ending and my friend started getting in to a panic about me skipping Chloe Dancer cos the song made her want to cry... I remember bolting in to her lounge room from her backyard to skip the song.

    We were passionate about MLB! I still am... she's not so much anymore, and it's getting harder and harder to find PJ fans (at least near me anyway) that are in to MLB. From MLB and Brad I moved on to Malfunkshun as well... but hardly any PJ fans I know took that leap too :(

    Do we have any PJ/MLB/Malfunkshun fans?

    I love it how Eddie said after they played that song at MSG 1, that "Andy would have loved this," to Stone.

    Really beautiful!! I STILL can't over the fact they ACTUALLY played it!! Beautiful memories!!
