Originally posted by elusive_one It also reminds me of when I was a teenager and me and my friend were hugely in to PJ and MLB. I remember one time my friend had a small party at her house, she was really drunk (I was the responsible sober one) and we were playing the Singles soundtrack. My friend started getting really sad (you know that sad drunk phase) and we heard Battle of Evermore ending and my friend started getting in to a panic about me skipping Chloe Dancer cos the song made her want to cry... I remember bolting in to her lounge room from her backyard to skip the song.
We were passionate about MLB! I still am... she's not so much anymore, and it's getting harder and harder to find PJ fans (at least near me anyway) that are in to MLB. From MLB and Brad I moved on to Malfunkshun as well... but hardly any PJ fans I know took that leap too :(
Originally posted by mwbeck10 great suprise, although the Vegas version from 2000 is my fav.
Yeah, that was INCREDIBLE!!!! Like I said, this song has a tendacy to make apperances at unbelieveable shows with amazing, out of this world vibes. It so adds to it. To experience it, there, at that moment...is seriously such a high.

If only they would play it in Australia... I think I would have instant heart failure if they ever did that... and if that didn't happen, I would be singing so loud they probably wouldn't be able to hear themselves... hehe.
I haven't heard the MSG version yet tho :( I'm working on it tho... slowly.
No Malfunkshun fans then?

(btw elusive_one if you need help getting your ears on this one lemme know. PM me or something! It MUST be heard;))
Loooooove that BASS in the beginning and all the passion that follows after it. OMG this song just never fails to make me teary eyed I swear. It's special on soooo many levels.
Thank you PJ for spreading "this kinda love"

OMG!! Man, I almost hit the floor when I first heard this at MSG  total shock all over my body and I was like "OMG! Are they actually playing what I think they are play?" haha. I was crazy man! I think Joe and I danced to this song. It is good to know you are surrounded by TRUE PJ fans:D

I have never even heard the Pearl Jam version of Crown of Thorns. I have the 45 but I don't have a freaking turntable. I bet it is wonderful. Booohooooo!

Please God let them release a DVD for that concert. PLEASE!

I walked down the aisle at my wedding to Crown of Thorns. It was unbelieveable. I haven't gotten to hear it live yet but I'm hoping next tour I will. When I met Stone, I told him about my wedding and he was like, "Right on!" Probably the coolest moment of my entire life. And I think Ed is performing it way better than the first time now, too. I was a little unimpressed the first time at that Las Vegas show by his lyric work, being such a die hard Andy fan as I am, but I have to say that this last tour he outdid himself and I am truly proud of him. I can't wait now to hear his version (in real life, that is)!
I found a guitar string, it tied me to my mother. I left it curled up in a ball, thinking I'd need it for tomorrow.

Ok...you are pretty close to the coolest person EVER for the sheer fact that you walked down the aisle to MLB in general...Wow! I LOVE Andy too...did you know about MLB when they were around?? I will quote Stoney "right on!"
I got into MLB right after Andy died, sadly. Well, maybe not right after because Ten was out but it was a long time ago. I had Apple on cassette and then later I got the 2 disc set (the one with the collage) and Words and Music volumes I and II. I was pretty young so going out to Seattle was out of the question for me. I regret that.
I'm a huge Stone fan and I even bought the import Bayleaf just to have the extra song (which is great, btw).
I'm always glad when someone thinks that my wedding song is cool! My bridesmaids walked down the aisle to Chloe Dancer. We had Hail, Hail as the recessional. It was an awesome wedding.

It seems some of you L'Andrew fans have some stuff I don't... anyone wanna trade for something? I dunno what I can share, but I'm sure we can find something to trade!
I can't believe msfadedglory walked down the aisle to MLB... that is seriously one of the coolest things ever! You have now become my hero... hehe That is really awesome!
The last few weeks I have been listening to a LOT of Malfunkshun, MLB and TOTD... like, that's all I've been listening to, and it's these things that make me think about Andy and the loss and how much I miss him. I posted on another board about this and how I wasn't sure if missing someone that I never met and never would have and never even knew of in his lifetime is dumb. He left behind some beautiful music, but he had so much more in him, and as much as I do love PJ, I just wish that they didn't have to be here because Andy left us (for Olympus... hehe). I just miss him... :(
