    If it says 5 pounds (pre-shipment), is that just what label they bought? Or do we have to wait for it to be scanned out at least once to know??

    Yes, the label is created with prepaid 5lbs,  and is on those label scrolls, they pull if off, put on your package - when UPS scans it the weight will update to actual weight.

    Am I the only one who doesn’t want to know the weight? I’d rather be “disappointed” (strong word when whatever we’re getting will be great) upon delivery than right now.

    I'd want to hold out too and not know, but I also know I'll likely not be able to resist.  I also planned on waiting till xmas to open it.  I might be able to wait on one but not the other...
    My boys are young (5 and 9) and they know this is coming and they want to help open it, just like they did with the tsurt one.  It was cute how excited they were for me
