Here you have his winning speech from yesterday, to lighten your mood a bit:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bNNv1AbGYE
"i will lower prices on day 1. You can't even afford bacon!"
"I will bring back jobs on day 1"
"I will deport the non-white people who are stealing your jobs"
"Don't think about the environment, other people or countries or the future. That is someone else's problems and you have to be able to pay your rent"
And, seems like that resonated more in a distressed economy than "I will actually give a credit on starting a small business, because I love the middle class. Now lets welcome out Liz Cheney and by the way, I am not Joe Biden but at the same time I am" when people connected the economy to the candidate.
Reality in the US:
Gallon of gas: $3.10
30 year fixed mortgage: 6.74%
unemployment rate: 4.1%Wage growth: average salary in 2023 = $66,621 equating to a 4.43% increase over 2022.
Inflation rate: 2.44%, down from 2.53% last month and from 3.77% last year.
Rank of US economy coming out of Covid compared to rest of the world: #1 and here’s a few links to the breakdown of the recovery:
https://www.cbpp.org/research/economy/tracking-the-recovery-from-the-pandemic-recession
https://www.brookings.edu/articles/the-us-recovery-from-covid-19-in-international-comparison/So, what policies was Bernie advocating for, introducing as legislation or doing on behalf of the “hard working middle class” that would have lead to better outcomes than what Brandon and Kamala produced? Results versus rhetoric and it’s unfortunate so many people are suckers. I guess Bernie and the bros were for it before they were against it? Fuck Bernie and his post election finger wagging.

Maybe get back to us on Brandon and Kamala’s tax policy and what Bernie thinks would be better, eh?

What’s Bernie going to do when the new administration starts implementing P25? He has zero chance of stopping any of it it’s all Republican controlled he should just stick to his own state politics and stay away from national issues! Republicans have total controljesus greets me looks just like me ....0

Or, if it was really about beating trump, go with the non-white male that would have likely excited the Democratic party to get out and vote .... Michele Obama.
I think as I am thinking through this is shows that Biden needed to be a 1 term president and the party needed a primary process. I mean, I was happy they pushed Joe aside after that debate as he had no shot. I wasn't upset with Harris as it seemed reasonable. But she clearly did not have the support needed.

I'm a big Gavin Newsom guy.
And yeah...Michele would have been the key. Unfortunate but I understand her reasons.
I still feel sorry for Biden because I think he would do just fine. The optics are bad but he's capable and I trust the people he surrounds himself with.
I'm afraid the trump show is going to be a complete joke...worse then before because he's chased off so many people.
I hate to see Tom Cotton get a cabinet position or Rubio but I do trust them with the constitution.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)
