You should stop being high on Bernie and believing his rhetoric. Don’t they teach you that actions speak louder than words in Sweden?Spiritual_Chaos said:

Your initial post is Bernie whining about the “hard working middle class” being forgotten about and ignored by the Democratic Party and I just showed you that actual legislation and leadership by Brandon and Kamala has benefited them. So, what’s Bernie going to do other than flap his lips and point fingers? What substantive actions will he take or do? Oh right, none because he’s one of 100 in a minority party and scorned as a socialist by the majority party. Bernie’s got no juice.Spiritual_Chaos said:

"I will deport the non-white people who are stealing your jobs"
"Don't think about the environment, other people or countries or the future. That is someone else's problems and you have to be able to pay your rent"
And, seems like that resonated more in a distressed economy than "I will actually give a credit on starting a small business, because I love the middle class. What’s Bernie going to do when the new administration starts implementing P25? He has zero chance of stopping any of it it’s all Republican controlled he should just stick to his own state politics and stay away from national issues! Republicans have total controljesus greets me looks just like me ....0

Which election? Regardless I am not the base of the Dem party. I lean more conservative on many issues so Bernie, for me, was way too far a departure from my positions to ever consider.Gern Blansten said:

Well, haven't really thought about it since it was always going to be whomever was running against trump. And again, I am not the target....but, Pete is the guy that I most respect. I disgree on issues with Pete, but he is always coming from a good place. Would be beat trump though, I doubt it....needed to run a white male it seems to have a shot. So to beat trump? Gavin Newsom maybe?Gern Blansten said:

Or, if it was really about beating trump, go with the non-white male that would have likely excited the Democratic party to get out and vote .... Michele Obama.
I think as I am thinking through this is shows that Biden needed to be a 1 term president and the party needed a primary process. I mean, I was happy they pushed Joe aside after that debate as he had no shot. I wasn't upset with Harris as it seemed reasonable. But she clearly did not have the support needed.

I'm a big Gavin Newsom guy.
And yeah...Michele would have been the key. Unfortunate but I understand her reasons.
I still feel sorry for Biden because I think he would do just fine. The optics are bad but he's capable and I trust the people he surrounds himself with.
I'm afraid the trump show is going to be a complete joke...worse then before because he's chased off so many people.
I hate to see Tom Cotton get a cabinet position or Rubio but I do trust them with the constitution.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)
