  • 5th Fenway show for me and this one just hit different. When Mike and Boom were going back and forth during Crazy Mary was something special.

Great show, great night! Brought all of our kids and were able to mix and match to get us all in the same row. First show for all 4 of the kids, 27 for me, wife probably around a half dozen. Very greatest hits set list, but everything killed. Some nice curveballs just to keep it interesting. Thank you to the kind souls that accepted our seat trade offers and the guy that gave my 7-year old a bucket hat. Scratched won’t tell and SBWM off my list tonight. Hopefully got to give will survive for another tour. PSD and ticket chasing withdrawal will be real soon.

Last of 4 shows for me with MSG 1 & 2 and Fenway 1 & 2. All were good but this was my favorite. Great crowd, they kept the energy high throughout with the monster set list and beautiful evening.
This is my opinion too! I didn’t love Fenway 1 so I didn’t have the highest expectations (beyond that PJ shows are always fun and great) but my god it blew me away. The energy from the crowd and band was insane….i just had a feeling Eddie was going to ACTUALLY sing the corduroy bridge when I heard that crowd energy and he did! I was so happy to hear him sing it. The crowd was so hype he couldn’t not! Such a special night, loud crowd, and insane energy. The sound on right field was SO MUCH BETTER THAN LEFT FIELD!! Last night it was muddled with no guitar sound. In right field it was perfect!

loved Unthought Known tonight. Sounded wonderful

Absolutely amazing show tonight!! My tour rankings from what I saw this year are Fenway 2, MSG 2, Baltimore, Fenway 1, MSG 1. Let’s celebrate the return of the OG Corduroy bridge sung like I haven’t heard since 2013, what a surprise!
Was the biggest (pleasant) surprise of the night for me for sure.  All hail vintage Corduroy!!

Had an absolute blast. Band was on fire. Loved Fuckin Up in the main set. Untitled into Present Tense. Black was great. A nice slowed down Patriot very similar to the version they played at Great Woods in 2000. Just beautiful. And Crazy Mary was a great treat.

As good a show that they've played at Fenway. Right up there with night 2 in 2016 if not better.

My 31st show and 6th at Fenway.  Even in an attempt to eliminate recency bias, I put this as my favorite Fenway show and in my Top 10 overall.  The setlist was ridiculous. Something as simple as mixing up the slots for Even Flow and Fuckin' Up completely change the vibe of the entire show ...in a good way.  It seemed like Eddie made the setlist with a plan of getting as much hype as possible out of the crowd without letting it go.  It's so difficult to match the intensity of an arena show (I was at Philly 1 last weekend..unreal) at a stadium show...but that was about as close as you can get.  I honestly thought this might be my favorite PJ show of all time after the first 7 songs (7/11/03 is still safe)...but what a night.  Highlights for me were Animal, Save You and Waiting for Stevie...and the unique placement of songs.  Also, Black seems to get better with age...they absolutely crush it these days.

Hope they play TD next time!
Agree that it is really hard to top 7/11/03 (my first PJ show) but this show is probably in second place for me. I love Crazy Mary and the Boom / Mike play last night was perfect. Buddy at the show said "the solo on Black was worth the price of admission".

Fenway 1 was a very good PJ show. This was a great PJ show.

Very special show… band volume was louder than N1 (I had the same seats). They were on a mission and Ed captained the ship with relentless energy from the get go… They all brought their A games. Mike went next level on his extended solo songs (Black, Crazy Mary etc…) he was absolutely phenomenal. Incredible show. Top 3.
  • SBWM sounded great on the YouTube’s. Is that the first time Ed made it through that song with no word flubs? Great performance

I had my criticisms of night 1 but last night was absolutely incredible. Easily top 10 show of the 52 I've seen maybe top 5. Impeccable flow and energy. I will say.Wreckage works WAY better as a groove after you've been pummeled for 45 minutes or so. Will probably think of more later.

Great show last night, band sounded awesome, but agree with previous comment that it felt a little too much like a greatest hits setlist.  6 songs from Ten.  Boston missed out on the Gigaton tour.  Would have loved to hear more than one song from Gigaton which is an excellent album.  A couple more songs from Dark Matter too which I think is their best album since No Code / Yield.

Had a good spot both nights.
Arrived at 7:45 Sunday (combination of having to wait till after 5 to leave and gnarly traffic), Pit had plenty of space at the edges. Started in front of Mike about 15 feet back, then moved and grabbed rail outside of Mike in front of the left side screen, which had a great view looking across the stage.

Got there just as Glen came on last night and got about 6 or so folks deep in front on Mike (I always head right to McCreadyville when in GA).
    No lining up either time.

We we were right near you last night. Got there right as Glen was ending and ended up about 8 deep or so on Mike's side. Perfect spot. Theo Epstein was right behind me.

Yeah, it's definitely possible to get real fucking close without creating drama for yourself. If people want to line up in a GA line for 12+ hours? All the power to them. I prefer showing up 30 minutes before the band hits the stage, and being 5 feet behind those people who waited 12 hours.

Those Boston shows both had some nice setlists.

Holy shit. What a night. Was in the pit on Mike’s side. Untitled not going into MFC and into PT was a huge surprise. Black -> F’in Up -> Porch was a monster way to end the first set. The entire Encore was amazing. What a way to end the tour.
Looks like a great show, but I'm going with one of the Seattle shows as my download as they had the most Dark Matter songs.

BTW, I'm not sure why Sea, Pearl Jam, and others don't refer to 'Untitled' as 'Red Dot' or at least 'Untitled/Red Dot.'

Because obviously the 'Got a Car Improv' was released as 'Untitled' on Live on Two Legs.

So there are errors in the Discography/Songs stats as they're both melded into one song in the stat count, which is incorrect.

I suggest formerly naming them 'Red Dot (instrumental)' and 'Untitled (Got a Car improv).'

N2 has what should be the staple song length. PJ has enough shorter songs. 2.5 hours should never be less then 27 songs.

27 to 29 really should be the normal.

Outside of the usual repeats was a nice set overall. Prefer it to n1 but then this show really lacked that "oh shit they are doing that" type moment like n1 had with blood.

This setlist flowed great. Loved the early evenflow.

That really got the crowd going from the jump.

I do wonder however how the jaded PJ fans handled having to take their piss break during the 2nd song of the night when they probably had only finished half a beer.
