    wow. I love LBC. and I love Boom. Boom is the LBC

    and Love boat captain is an amazing powerful song. eddie does it once again. simply awesome. both lyrically and musically. how could you not love this song????? :)

    and i love the way the song starts, so quietly with this dirge-like swelling up into just a proclamation of love and hope. can't imagine this song without boom, that's for sure!

    what amazes me is how a song that could just solely be sad finds a way to also be hopeful and uplifting. how a truly horrific event inspired such a beautiful song. they have a talent for achieving that balance in their music, mixing light into gray.

    Yeah I couldn't agree more guys. ;)

    It starts off so dark, eery kind of...it sounds like funeral music or something. Then the song just turns around a becomes this beautiful, hopeful thing telling us over and over again that all we need is love. It really does capture it all. The good and the bad. It takes a bad/sad situation and with the power of love inspires so much hope. Soooooo gorgeous!! I mean how can you not LOVE it, ya know?

    yea Eddie seems to be good at that. taking a fucked up situation and making music out of it. he has a powerful ability to write lyrics that always make sense. I'm sure he wishes these fucked up situations wouldn't occur so much. but at least music is a release for him and for us as Fans :)

    the great thing is as much of a release it is for him and the guys, it transcends its original intent and becomes a release for others, regardless of their personal situations. it becomes personal to each person for different reasons.

    have i mentioned lately how much i freaking LOVE this band???

    yea seriously. no doubt. the songs are a release for Eddie and the band. and we as fans get attached also and take each song and mix it into our own personal lives and attach our own meanings. for example:

    Rearviewmirror.

    survey 100 PJ fans and they will all have a different story to tell about this song and what fucked up situation it relates to. same thing with LBC or Light Years. that is why this band kicks major ass
